Am I the only person who was disappointed with the song selection in the last round.

Barring Sara, Tarun, Shujaat and Zaheer, most others sang songs that could be sung in generic themes. Four Kailash Kher songs? It got too repetitive..

The purpose of these themes is so the contestants can prove they can sing songs outside of their comfort level. How can they demonstrate that by them choosing songs that are mostly pop/filmi with some elements of Sufism just to pass the theme prerequisites? Like come ON!

Do these singers only know bollywood and don't venture out and listen to other forms of music? They need to open their minds a little and realize music doesn't start and end with Bollywood..

GOSH!

The contestants who sang kailesh kher numbers played it safe. they didn't have anything new to offer. Also, I don't think kailesh kher songs can be termed as sufi rock.

Generally Ghazal songs are sung best by by those singers from Pakistan and I am glad that the tradition continues. This is mainly due to the culture there I guess.
Coming to Sufi songs it is getting mixed up now a days with Punjabi Sufi and Bollywood sufi mixes and remixes.

Songs sung by male singers are not easy for a female to handle especially Kailash Kher. Soument did well but Yashita had problems with the low notes ( did not sound so good)
Debo was unbelievable in expressing emotions.
\Pakistani singers all breezed through but Zaheer was the most impressive.

Agreed. Soumen did proper justice to "Saiyaan" but Yashita killed "Teri Diwani" All harkats were missing. It was as if she was reading the song or rushing it. I did not enjoy her rendition. When she first started I thought may be she will do proper justice but.....failed.......
Saiyaan is the best rendition of Soumen so far.......in this contest
Vaishali did not do proper justice to "Jiya dhadak" Himani was the best in this song.
Shujat's rendition hope they had used proper instruments to highlight his singing.
Overall this episode was really good compared to many previous ones.

i dont think anyone can beat pakistani contestants in sufi and ghazal songs.....no offence!!
and they really need to define what sufi means!! just because the song has been sung by rahat fateh ali khan does not make it a sufi song...jiya dhadak dhadak i dont classify it as a sufi song...ya ali was not sufi....and i dont even classify that ALI MORE ANGNA as a sufi song....
