Kaushik suddenly lost his form. Just like sports sometimes they lose their form. Needs to go back to his Guru and retune himself.

No, voting is not public...who stays and goes is up to the producer and they have clearly mentioned this in their 'terms and conditions':

n. It is agreed by the voter that producer being the owner of the programme, is the sole decision taking authority and any decision taken by producer shall be full and final and shall be binding on the voters and no dispute pertaining to the any aspect related to the programme will be entertained.

Yes but I think the public votes are not thrown away but taken into account in making a final decision. Some concessions are given to certain singers with "Tamasha and Drama and TRP" value.
