asma need to change her statement " gana gane aaya" to natak karke logog ko nikalne ke liye aaaya. our natak karke ache singer ko nikalne ke laye aya. i think this statement is more suitable for her.

Yaar why blame her, yes she natak karne aaya, logo ko nikalne aaya but who brought this format of voting, who do you think eliminated Shashi, Manisha and others, take a chill pill this show is not about serious singing any more, just relax and enjoy entertainment.

Asma, one of the top 10 finalists of Zee TV's show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, is facing flak from her mother for pursuing her dream of singing. Ameena Rafi is dead against her daughter's decision to be part of the show and makes no bones about it.

When contacted, Ameena was initially reluctant to talk, but after a lot of convincing said, "We are from Oman and it is not in our custom to do such a public display of any talent by a girl. Asma is no more for us. I do not want to meet her or see her. I have even severed ties with her father for supporting her decision."

When we asked her, if she would change her stance if Asma did well for herself, Ameena disconnected the call and did not pick up the phone in spite of several attempts.

Mohammad Rafi, Asma's father, sounding shattered said, "Yes it is true that Asma's mother is against Asma's participation in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. She said, 'Wo jism ki numaish karti hai'. I divorced my wife two months ago to support Asma. She is not doing anything wrong. I know she will win. I have complete confidence in her. She is a good singer and she has the right to fulfill her dreams."

Mohammad Rafi

When we spoke to Asma, initially she said only good things about her experience. However, when we revealed to her that we knew about her personal trauma, she opened up and said, "I do not know why my mother is doing this to me. I like singing but she is forbidding me to do what I like to pursue. I know she loves me a lot.

All my siblings (three sisters and two brothers) are supporting me, then why not her? But I am thankful to Allah that I was able to reach this level in the contest. Even if I don't win, I will still not give up singing. I plan to stay in Mumbai to complete my studies."

Asma broke down when we asked whether she was still in touch with her parents. "No. It's been five months now but I have not been able to talk to papa properly. My mother does call me up but to abuse me and my father. I am alone in Mumbai. My mother's calls wreck my mental peace. But are you sure she said that I am no more alive for her?" she asked, sobbing uncontrollablyAsma is playing against all odds. She is such a brave girl.we should apprieciate her and besides she is improving herself

Yeah... I guess! Wasn't directed at Asma though... Poor girl, she doesn't know that she's being used to provide some entertainment and gain some TRP's. My grouse is more with the fact that appearance has become so important these days while singing comfortably takes a back seat.
