i wouldnt want the younger generation to judge the contestants...
anyone with great experience.... like Shivji-Hariji...

Asha Bhonsle and A.R. Rahmaan are enough to judge this whole show. They don't need a third person. They are the most versatile singer/musician combo.

I think they should definately try to have Lata Mangeshkar as a judge...who would know about singing more than her??....but i don't know if she would like to come and join them in this kind of musical contest...

true taikoo....he does a lot of lecturing to his contestants....i saw many of his telugu talent hunt(padutha teeyaga)...he also gives humanitarian lectures leave alone lectures about singing techniques...
he always...comments something or the other about the contestants...

he is a great singer.....not doubt...but think before u invite him to judge....

Any individual who has a strong backgound with music and has a lot of integrity is fine ... not like Alka Yagnik who was very biased in her decision favouring Ghosal...

What's wrong with Daler Mehndi, how can he on television keep a count of how many times a person sings off and then announce it as well, it was aweful, he should not be a judge again if he keeps a tally like that.

I loved the way Kavita Krishnamurthy spoke each singer, she was so humble and pointed out the best qualities in each singer, unlike Alka Yagnik who seemed pretty tactless and discouraging. I hope Alka doesn't show up again for judging Saregamapa.

I loved Shiv-Hari, Kavita-O.P Nayyar, I would like to see Amjad Ali khan as a judge sometime. He is very good with comments about singing, he had given a workshop here(Seattle) a couple of years back and always encouraged us to sing before him, eventhough we were very conscious to do so and he always gave his honest feeback and compliments.

Just to continue Sudhanshu (Chandoba)'s fun further...

If Kishore_bhakta and Chandoba (the 'experts') are together as judges, then it will be too tough for/on the contestants.

Ideal combination should be -

pmahesh & Chandoba,

Kishore_bhakta & myself

(i.e., one expert in each judging team! Actually we need to find a partner for our new expert 'psych' too.)

daiz... arien79... kd286... skybux... whocares... riddler100... salilu... mini59....psych... thekamaths (anitha)... chitra_anand... etc…etc...
