In the next schedule of Saregapama, the producers should ensure that the identity of the contestants is not disclosed to the viewers. The participant's names, where they come from etc etc should not be disclosed at all. Also do not disclose whether the participant is poor or rich or lame or deaf. Let viewers vote for the contestant purely based on their performance without knowing whether he/she is from Punjab or Bengal or UP or Maharashtra.......

It is an undeniable fact that regional biase plays a major role in peoples vote and this factor must be eliminated.

yeah but then people will guess where they are from thanks to their names. So they can't announce their names

Then people may be able to make it out because of their accent and appearance

So, SRGMP should make them sing behind the curtain and not announce their name or where they come from to eliminate any biasness

So each contestant will be identified by a number or a code. all will wear a Burkah and cover up completely or go behind a purdah. 😆

Or wear a mask or a costume.

TRPs will drop to Zero. n SRGMP will close down.😆

when they ask for votes they will use computers to make the voice unrecognizable so the junta can't pick up on the accent etc

The contestants will all sound like Darth Vader

arre bhai inhi sab cheezon se inko paisa milta hai. 😛 why do you think they do all this nautanki? they emphasize the contestant's origin to get regional votes. they share personal info. about the contestants to gain sympathy votes, and of course TRPs also! the unfortunate truth is that all reality shows must stoop down to this level in order to survive in this day and age (or atleast that's what they think).

But the whole point of this show is to exploit all differences to get more SMS revenue. If they cared about singing and quality, they would have stayed with the old format when singers has to be classically trained and pass the sur round, the taal round, judges choice....

I think that they should go the reverse route now and have their whole extended families go up there and give their respective sob stories, family history, expoit caste, medical records and maybe even get their respective MP's involved. Yes that might raise TRP's or not.
