Did sara deserve to be promoted over Deepali?

Sara's jiya jale (raag bhairavi) was not up to the mark, low notes were shaking and she was off sur at quite a few places. Deepali's teri or was a better and pleasant performance IMHO. Often more than a complicated number its the over all impact which bails you out.

Coming to their duet (Sara & Deepali) the complete lack of coordination was evident as if they were arch rival resulting in chaos, this show down was shameful in front of Ut Amzad Ali Khan to say the least, then on what basis Mahaguru took that decision, can some one pls throw light..?

Looks like this year they want a pakistani to win since last yr aneek won.

i agree with u but over all if u see sara is a better trained singer than deepali she also was good but the song selection of sara n her expression;s in lata ji;s song jiya jale was one plus point of her performance secondly she sang better in duet round thts y she deserve to stay in trhe show.

Another note worthy thing is use of software/equipments like relay, echo, reverb everything is on the show, listen to Kaushik's khuda jane mai, it has his vocal support on 5th note, ( but he was awesome)many of songs are getting vocal choir support and even harmony, sound engg suddenly is touching dizzying heights..!

One singer's elimination is due to his/her own singing and should not be blamed upon other contestants.

I gotta say, based on the performances, Sara was easily weaker than Deepali tonight. The only reason I could think the Mahaguru favored Sara was that Deepali started the blame game and Sara was mostly professional about it.

I am kinda not happy with the Top 10. I wouldn't have minded one more person leaving from either group. I think Agnipariksha can easily do without Faraz and Sara. As for the remaining, I think Shujaat, Debojit. Mitika, Yashita, Naina, Kaushik, Pratibha and Zaheer all deserve to be in the Top 14.

Anyway, what happens now? If we have these ten through then we still have four spots remaining and the Wild Card allows reentry to only two people. So who are the remaining 2, I am expecting some regional winners to enter a la Shoumen Nandi, winner of Saregamapa Bengal. No idea who the other one's gonna be.

Btw, it would be 256 different shades of awesome if 4 contestants are allowed entry through the wild cards and we can get Arshad, Survinder, Manisha and Shoumen. That has the makings of a near-perfect top 14.

On another note, the real moment of the night was that astrologer dude saying "yahan puranay log bethay hain" and the look on the Mahaguru's face. Timeless.

she doesn't deserve to be even in top 12. I don't how this girl is surviving. may be zee wants the Pakistani girl till at least for some time. Besides this, these Pakistani guys are not being eliminated so easily. Even today, Zaheer and Sara were not so good as others. May be the zee people ask mahagurus to eliminate some Indian contestant.

For those who don't watch Spotlight, Sara doesn't have a good reputation among the contestants. Even Shujat and Faraz don't like her and they said that she has pride and she thinks herself as some Lata ji or Noorjahan and so on. No one likes her mother too. By the contestants' words, I understood that she(sara's mom) gets into arguments easily.

Zaheer is the best among the lot from Pakistan, trained, consistent, focussed, sureela. Only thing is needs to increase energy level a bit.
