listen to rock music first, then make it a theme

I was tremendously disappointed this week with the "rock theme". It wasn't about the performances as such, it was the song choices.

Tell me how "Aisa Jaadu" sounds like a rock song. It's a dance song. There's no drums, electric guitar, its' just a dance song.
or even "Dil Se Re". I love this song to bits, but its NOT rock. It just isn't.
and especially "Saawariya" and "Meter Down". I don't even know why anyone would consider these as rock songs.

It isn't anyone's fault that there aren't many rock songs in Bollywood history. But if this is the case, why make it a theme? Not only is it extremely wrong, it's misleading other people into thinking that it's rock music. Real rock is different. Songs from "Rock On" are a good example. Some songs from "Life In A Metro" are rock based. Why couldn't anyone use these?

And the outfits. THE outfits. Leather alone doesn't say rock. You don' t a million chains on your pants, and squeaky tight leather pants to look like a rock star. Rock isn't just black.

I am aware that rock culture is not very popular in Indian culture. This is no one's fault, and it isn't a bad thing. BUT when an exposed show like SRGMP try to execute a rock theme, they should do some research. They should guide the contestants on song choice, at least just to get the genre right. What happened this week, was not right. It was inaccurate. It was misleading.

Saawariya ... a rock song, I think SRGMP started giving us "Jokes of the Week" without sending a memo first. 😆

Honestly, I don't think there are any bollywood rock songs. Meter down and Aisa Jadoo don't have any rock elements.

The leather pants and chains show how ignorant the SRGMP creatives are.

I know.. they don't even know anything about rock music.. none of the songs sung were remotely "rock"..

did anyone else laugh at that little speech Aditya did when he talked about all the different style of "rock music"..

"rock music main diff style hai like slow rock, hard rock, punk rock, rock ballads, grunge" .. srsly why bother trying to be knowledgeable when its gonna fall flat on your face??

don't get me started on the outfits.. LOL

Exactly! It's foolish to classify a 'Dil Se' as a rock song. I mean, WTF! The creative team or whoever comes up with the themes are seriously a nunch of sore losers.
