I think these competitions are really bruising children's self confidence. I just am happy that the judges this season are so kind and loving - I wonder how the children have been able to handle the harsh treatment from judges in the past competitions.

Looking at the pic above, I feel these children may be ready to sing, but probably not really ready to participate in the competition - the sadness on their face is heart breaking.

You are absolutely right, these competitions perhaps scars these children's self esteem the worst way. Last year one of the kid from Dance Bangla Dance after his elimination committed suicide, he was only about 10 or 11 years old. I wonder if the formats of these shows especially for children could be completely different. I know that certain regional channels don't have elimination round. What they are doing is take the children who are not as strong as others and mentor them with the other kids and again bringing them back. 😔

End of the day this is just another competition but on a larger scale. Children participate in multiple competitions in school and maybe don't win all. But they move on with the help of their parents. Parents shd explain that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is just a competition and whether they win or lose it's amazing they participated. The only other thing Sa re Ga ma can do is offer a consolation prize to the eliminated contestants...Kids do cry if they do not win...thats natural..I have cried too as a kid if I have lost a competition...Putting pic of kids crying I think is in bad taste...

I would not agree with this.😳

it is not just another competition.

It is a pressure cooker for the kids.😡

When young adults find it difficult to comprehend the dirty machinations on these shows, what do you expect the kids to do?😲

Most kids cannot cope up, it is not thousands in a school, they are scrutinised by lakhs if not crores of people.😡

How can the parents explain to a child about the pressures of the show, when they were senseless enough in the first place to push them into it.😡

This photo in just a small manifestation of the huge landscape of these shows.

I stopped watching these shows on kids.Everyone seems to be capable of handling it, i cannot .

However great the judges handle the kids with kid gloves.

I have been equally guilty of watching kids shows in the past.

I gave them up this season.😊

To be dramatic, this is akin to child labour for me.😭

I am totally in favour of banning these shows and hope they do not allow kids below 18 years on these shows😊
