NO TV DAY! - Whats your take :)

I am not sure if you all heard about this campaign initiated by Hindustan Times called "NO TV DAY!" which feels that people dont spend time with their families, go out with them to see new places due to TV. This campaign was much hyped around in Mumbai and I saw a lot of hoardings, print ads and more.

I hope they have done their survey and found TV to be the real culprit. Why people dont think it this way that in most of the families with single TV box it is the only time that the entire family comes together to watch TV (that reminds me of the ad of SAB TV - Asli maja toh sab ke saath aata hai.).

Well that gave me an idea of starting a NO NEWSPAPER DAY!!! And that one day all husbands wake up before their wife in the morning and will make tea for their wife and prepare breakfast for the family, get their kids ready for school for a day instead of just reading newspaper sipping tea while their wife does all the morning chores.

And if all this things works then we would soon start more such campaigns like :

NO FACEBOOK DAY (cause that makes us so much virtual beings that even to share a good news we now simply update our status instead of calling our friends / family to inform them personally and not just that we now have our neighbours also on FACEBOOK.

NO EMAIL DAY: Due to so much of typing emails on computers today I am having problem even writing checks and signing them (thats the only time I really have to write). Missing all those penpal times when people used to write long letters and used to check the letterbox anticipating replies. And yeah missing those lovely hand written love letters on heart filled pink perfumed papers. 😳 I used to have a very good handwriting and today even that has detoriated over a period of time by being so used to typing everything 😔

NO SMS DAY: In a day we all recieve so many funny jokes / shayri / PJ and even that if you forward this message to all your friends you will find your True Love (trust me I never used to take chance with that 😳) and in turn we forward to all our different set of friends/family that same message. Just imagine the time we spend just reading and forwarding such messages. And these days friends have become so impersonal that they send group SMS to everyone "Hey how are you doing.. wassup?? " thinking atleast out of 10 atleast 4 will reply. 😆. Lets stop SMS for a day and just call each of our friends to know how they are really doing.

I am sure we have a lot of people who can come up with a lot more "NO _______ DAY" along with their reason behind the campaign. If you already have one then you can surely post it here and see how many people support your campaign by hitting the very famous LIKE button.

This is just a thought 😊 and please feel free to contribute to this NO _____ DAY long list. Looking forward to reading your views.

NO email/SMS days are great too and will definitely participate..👍🏼
No newspaper day is fine but hubbies doing the core🤔 will it really work.. only if THEY agree.
I think we should have a no PC/Laptop day too.. since outside India its the major time consuming area after TV... The computer. But I-F will have to declare a holiday on that🤣

If no TV, no Comp, no Cell phone, then there is no life lolz....

I am agree that these are the main reasons that now families have no time for eachother, but seriously it became so important now that without this seems no life...It's a drug now....It's all in our hands how we will use these techs by not avoiding our families.....
