IMPORTANT: Uploading through Tinypic - Page 6

I've been using photobucket primarily, but I think we're all defintiely going to need a bigger signature character limit because the URL for tinypic was quite well, tiny, but that for photobucket is a decent 10 characters more at least.

Just a thought.

I've run into the same problem: while Tinypic used to just randomly assign characters, thereby enabling it to really compact the URL, photobucket uses ones native filenames and album folder paths in its URL, so that there is no way it's going to be a short thing. I understand that the reason for the character limit is to prevent Qutb Minar siggies from being mounted, but there's got to be another way - like allowing only 1 or 2 IMG tags, for instance. Also, in my current siggie, I have a promotional URL embedded in it for the banner contest, which is difficult to do for most others. Normally, I stay w/ a siggie, but this time, I was wanting to change it frequently to attract visitors, but it doesn't seem to hold good.

As far as image sizes in MB go, no problems there. But one thing in photobucket about copying - it doesn't let you select and copy - it's just the moment you select it, it says 'copied', but when you paste it, you paste some complete html code, which ain't the forum code. Since I use KDE/Linux, I go to the Klipper clipboard tool, which has multiple clips, and select the one that says [IMG]... If you're using Windows, you need to make sure that you have a clipboard that can take multiple pastes.

Or is it possible that we increase our signature box URL here on IF,so that if all members shift to photobucket or imageshack, we wont have troubles on uploading the links on here!
