One look at her and you won't know that she is a mother of a teenage girl but Tanaz Currim is the chirpy young thing on the small screen who dabbles between serials and theatre with much panache. She has been a part of the television industry for more than a decade and more so in the comic genre.
Tanaaz Currim was first noticed for her hilarious role in the TV series"Zabaan Sambhalke" as a Parsi girl trying to polish off her English.From Do Aur Do Paanch to Gudgadee, Swabhi-maan, Tanha, X-Zone and much more to movies "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai", "Hadh Kardi Aapne", "Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi" .. Tanaaz most recently participated in the Gladrags Mrs.India 2002 contest. She has dabbled in theater too.

Tanaz Currim, who played the role of a pampered angelic wife of Meri Biwi Wonderful, is now doing a villainous character of Jayshree Bua in Sony's Ye Meri Life Hai, Jayshree Bua speaks with a Gujarati accent and flounders with English.Tanaz could not give Miss India crown a shot because of her early marriage. But fulfilled her desire by winning the Mrs. India crown..
Soon she will appear as Paro in Bewra Das, a spoof on Devdas.Tanaz directed a play called "ask what a father says".The play is light and the fun is clean which is refreshing at present also.
Tanaz is like a friend to her daughter and she respects her for that.she shares almost everything with her daughter.
Future projects in hand right now stand up comedy called "Comedy Ghanta" for "Zee Smile" where she play a weather girl who has immense attitude and talks about everything but the weather. Besides she is doing theatre and films like "36 China Town" and "Rangeen".
Role in "Fooltu Pagal" on "Zee Smile" :she plays the main Doctor in the hospital called Dr Marry who speaks Hindi and Urdu and always says a wrong word for the correct thing. It's a little over the top and realistic comedy with juicy bits and the chemistry is very good between the characters.
She has till date done more comedies,but does have her credit serials like Swabhiman,Yeh Meri Life Hai etc and films which have had no comic element in them. she tries to be as much innovative as she can. she feel justice is not done to the females in comedy however situational comedy is fun to watch and also to perform. she is an actress who like doing challenging roles also think she can carry out such comic roles better than the other people so she had been offered such roles. She Loves all kinds of roles offered to her & finds them interesting & enjoys it tothe fullest.
