Hey Rachu_1987,

We are considering your views too. I guess you missed out the part that we will be only locking the old topics which has been inactive and has not received a single reply in the last 90 days.

So for example:

If I have started a topic on Jan 1 2008 and once in every three month someone or others are posting on my topic once in atleast 3 months will keep my topic active and wont be considered for locking.

I hope this is what is worrying everyone. Please let us know what you think about it.

This is a great idea because lately I had a similar situation arise in my forum with old topics being brought to the main page, which had no relevance to the current storyline. It just adds to spamming and unnecessary arguments.

I am sure none us mods will mind unlocking topics if such situation does arise where one wants their topic to be opened.

umm yea this is a good idea which can avoid bumping old threads ...i guess...

anywayz..if we desperately need an old topic reopened the mods can always do it for us on pm :D

This is a good idea! It'll help prevent old topics from coming into page 1 or 2 in the forum..so the new topics can stay on the front!

It is ok - as long as it can be reopened by some one who has
access to that topic. Some FanFics and some other topics
which are written by IF ians on a "not so regular " basis -
topics which attract a reasonable following.
