Since you all seemed to like the kurta scenario, I've worded it out for you - 😉

Indu Singh slaps his palm against the wall and then other one too, trapping the irate girl in between. He will not yield to her defiance 'Kaahe Sanchi Indu Singh...kaahe...you are MY dear lovely wife...my legally wedded wife...so follow your wifely duties like 'I' say...' he corrects himself 'No like 'I' order... you CANNOT move an inch from here...unless you finish ironing my red Kurta...I have an important appointment with my friends today...' (appointment being lounging on the charpoy and feeding them chicken 65 with ice cold beer, while they laugh out praises for him)

'Do that and tonight...' he winks wryly 'tonight... I might allow you to study for 1 hour in peace...'

He was referring to the annoying tactics he had resorted to ever since she was living under the roof - tactics like turning the TV on till 3 AM, allowing his friends to lounge in his living room till the early hours of the morning and the sort!

She stares at his face and then looks down submitting to his demand, at least by the looks of it. It was already getting late for her 1st class at university and returning to the college every morning was something she looked forward to - it was a welcoming respite from the looming presence of her aggravating so-called husband!

Storming off; she exits to her room on the left to finish the task, as commanded.

15 minutes later, she mumbles an irate response 'I've done it...now please let me leave' she lowers her tone 'in peace'

He decides against blocking her exit and lets her go finally. He'd have many more plans up his sleeve to exact sweet revenge that evening anyway.

A few minutes on, he gets the whiff of something burning from around. Confounded, he scans his vicinity and then rushes forth to check the bedroom. There what he saw took him aback. His favourite red Kurta was being slowly tortured, as it succumbed to the heat of the red hot iron sitting atop it.

He grit his teeth in anger, before rushing to switch off the iron and rescuing what remained of his tunic. Damn! If only he had checked once, before letting her leave. He would now have to up the stakes when it came to his turn that evening!
