Great post as usual Lashy!
Today's epi though it had the necessary scenes required to have a continuous flow, still lacked the punch that the earlier epis this week did.
I felt so bad for Tarachand, I've said it before and I'll say it again may no parent have to go through what Tarachand did. I don't have any children myself, but my nieces and nephews mean the world to me, and if they ever had to suffer due to protecting me, I would be absolutely devastated. How can parental figure who wants to be like a superhero to their child, live with suddenly becoming their kryptonite?
I still get the odd sense that the orthodox part of Veenaji, wants to rather push Sanchi and Indu together rather than tear them apart. It's just something in the way she looked at Tarachand when he wailed about having to beg for his daughter's happiness. I think she would have been ready to go right then and there to Indu and the Tiwaris, to ask them to accept Sanchi. Plus she didn't look to happy about the idea of selling up, and taking Sanchi away. Still more likely than not I'm probably wrong.
The only thing that marred that scene for me was to hear Sanchi preaching about the truth. Umm what leg do you have Sanchi to stand on when it comes to extolling the virtues of telling the truth?! And where may I ask has Indu lied?! He's been nothing but honest to you, since he met you. Yes his truth might be harsh even brutal sometimes, but still he hasn't lied as of yet to Sanchi nor her family about who he is, and what his intentions (good or bad) have ever been.
Ditto to anyone who thinks Anita is a gem of a person. You know I think she might help INSA come together. As both Indu and Sanchi owe her a debt and have solemnly vowed to repay her. I wonder what they will do if she requests both of them to stop fighting and at least attempt to make this marriage work?
Lol and finally Mahak's famous smirk made an appearance again! Though I didn't hate it too much this time as she was just happy to see her friend continue to be strong and fearless. I loved Sanchi's defiant walk, and the stunned looks on Indu's and his friends face when she faced them with her head held high.
The only time she faltered was when Guddo called her as Mrs. Sanchi Indu Singh, she flinched and lowered her eyes, so you could tell that blow hit home.
But the highlight had to be Indu and Sanchi's face off! I loved the way Indu automatically stood up when Sanchi walked onto the stage, he was just stunned. But then he too got a defiant look, I think Indu is prepared for his little sherni, to make a right tamasha so if Sanchi quietly walks to his side he will be floored.
At the end of the day I don't understand this whole public farce thing. Why is Indu annoncing this marriage and warning people to stay away from Sanchi? How dumb does he think people are? Don't you think they would have realised that all is not well, with the fact that Indu attended his reception with a cardboard cut out bride?! Plus Sanchi arrives on campus sans sindoor isn't going to give the game away?
How long and why these two plan to 'fool' people is beyond my understanding!
