Indu's character & mindset+ Abhimanyu

But if u see Abhi's scene today he isnt going to be there comic relief yet he is going to do something big to make sanchi his!

@blue: He may be smitten by her, but he isn't admiring her, in my opinion. Simply because he doesn't KNOW her well enough to admire her.. I mean he can be intrigued by her, even be in awe of her presence and be smitten by her. But WHAT is so "admirable" about a girl sitting in a fruit stall (given that that's when he saw her first and started his Sanchi-ji jap)?!?! So I'll give you smitten, but I am not sold on the "admiration" part at all.

And sure he isn't all out obsessed with her. YET. I mean there is such a strong undertone to his behavior that this relationship will turn obsessive eventually if his character stays the way it is for the most part. He is entitled - he has already laid claim on Saanchi even though he KNEW that Abhimanyu was trying to get in with her before hand (I mean isn't that why he met Saanchi in the first place? Because his people told him about Abhimanyu socializing with the "W-wali"?!).. He thinks she's HIS simply because HE wants her to be. She is his to hit on or think of.. And that's as far as his obsession has gone, but it HAS started. Now Saanchi hasn't given him any reason to accelerate his behavior yet - he has no reason to try and "haasil" her.. But that is also a matter of time. If situations were to change and things were to get even a little bit different, I have no doubts that his ego and arrogance won't permit him to step back. That he WILL make it a matter of prestige to "have" her by his side, her will in the matter not withstanding.

Abhimanyu isn't any better though and I am in no way advocating him. I agree with you that Abhimanyu will be getting obsessive in his own right, but we see his obsession because he has HAD that change in situation. Initially he was happy just being around Saanchi and getting to periodically hit on her. But once Indu came in the picture and literally side stepped him - THAT changed the game and now Abhimanyu wants to have her because now it's a matter of prestige for him. Plus you can always see a power play between Abhimanyu and Indu - Indu is superior when it comes to the political career.. But it seems that Indu thinks that that makes him superior and entitled in every other aspect too and I'm sure that that doesn't sit will with Abhimanyu. So yeah, this obsession of his will now be stoked by the fact that Indu told him he can't have it..

This doesn't mean either of the guys deserve her at the moment or that either of them are "hero" material. They are both college thugs who are being driven by their "I get what I want because I'm me" attitude.. There is nothing admirable or cute about either of them, at the moment.. In my opinon. 😊😆

@red: Err.. Lol! Indu's waiting..? Since when.. 😆 He isn't waiting for anything - there is no right time.. Currently he sees no THREAT to his claim so he is going at his pace as he seems fit. The minute ANYONE tells him that he can't have her, he'll be ever too happy to show them that he CAN and quick.. 🤔😆

Abhimanyu isnt a creep either in my opinion. He gives more importance to Sanchi at the moment but isnt crazy over her. He has a crush on her and wants to be the one hes with in future. Hes just getting alil worried that Indu may take this dream away from him hence why wants to make a move, fast. If Indu wasnt in the picture i don't think he will be that quick to make moves on Sanchi, he would have taken things slower.

Overall, Fivr... Its nice to hear such a unique point of view but your comments leave me surprised as to how differently you see the show and Indu, in comparison to most of us.

I don't even want Indu to become a goody good. Thats plain boring and we have a billion shows on tv that show the perfect-goody good male lead (eg yeh rishta...)

Oh wow.. *face palms*.. A couple of assumptions in your post that I should probably set right first:

I've said it a couple of time before but I guess I can say it again - I have NO problems with Indu as a character. I think he's interesting and I don't dislike him. As a political character in a male dominated society. But as a person to be in love with? THAT is where I'm just saying that he doesn't seem the ideal guy to me. He's what he needs to be to win in the cut throat world of politics and he is who he needs to be to make sure he is listened to and followed. And that's fine. But I just don't see him a guy who can be paired with anyone, Sanchi or otherwise, at the moment. Maybe it's too soon, but there has just been NO reason for me to believe that he loves/cares/adores Sanchi. HE hasn't convinced me of it. The show hasn't convinced me of it and the plot so far has presented me with NO proof. The show has shown me though that he is a thug as he SHOULD be because that IS his character.. And that is really OKAY.. Lol.. Oh man, I am beginning to sound like a broken record.. 😆

So you're going to assume that I find "Prabal" to be the "ideal guy"? Why? Because he wears a white kurta every time? Why would you possibly think that the reasons I find deplorable in Indu would be the ones I'd cherish in Prabal? 😆 Prabal is just as bit a "gunda" as Indu.. because AGAIN that is what he needs to be to compete in the world of politics. I mean he actually lied about faith and his belief (pretending to take celibacy?! ALL so he can garner votes?) So I accept BOTH Indu and Prabal and even Abhimanyu being who they are - thugs and politicians. I just don't accept them as ideal marriage/relationship material. Not as they are right now. I mean come on.. Is that really that ridiculous of me to ask for a CONFIDENT man who is also respectful?! A man who can stand his own but doesn't have to belittle others in the process.. *sigh* I guess maybe it is.

I never said Abhimanyu is a creep - just that he isn't any saint. He is doing what he needs to do, what he has been TAUGHT to do by society and by the surroundings that he lives in - that it's okay to take what you want as long as you have the strong arm to do so.

Every one in this forum keeps assuming that just because I am not ready to accept Indu as ideal husband material that I'm therefore automatically ready to accept Abhimanyu or Prabal as so.. And when I try to explain otherwise, I guess people start assuming that I consider them creeps? *sigh* I can't win after all, I guess.. 😆

And I guess it should be stated that I do NOT like goody-two-shoes as male OR female leads because real people aren't like that. I like characters to have depth and maybe a bit of gray. But just because I am not really to accept them as "riding into the sunset with" type material just yet doesn't mean that I advocate for "prefect male leads"..

^^ I never actually ever liked Krishna as a marriage material human being and if Indu remains this way, I am very sure I won't like him either. And if Sanchi and Indu become a "couple" while Indu remains as he IS - I'm sure I'll be done with the show. Being grey and dark and complex is entirely different than being disrespectful and criminal. But that's just my opinion. And I can be entirely ignored if the majority thinks otherwise. No worries. 😊
