Agree with what you said about Akhtar bros! They literally said she is more confident and well-suited to act than sing, which is just about the worst thing to say to a 12 year-old semi-finalist of a music show. They also said she seems confused and is off-pitch. And even Vishnu took it very sportingly and touched their feet.

Regarding Vishnu's performances, she does a bit of both cause she is competent with classical and modern Indian music. She's doing Sun Raha Hai Na Tu and Sathyam Shivam Sundaram today...Super excited to hear Sun Raha Hai. 😳

Yes I really lost some respect for them to be honest. How can they talk to kids like that? Both seemed so confused afterwards. And the actress thing was absolutely not needed!!!

I have no idea about eliminations process to be honest.

Ah interesting. I don't like the song "Sun Raha Hai" but I am happy she is singing something modern. I'm sure she will be amazing 😊

Btw what is Chetan singing? 😃

Ticket to finale golden chair week, good singing by many contestants surprisingly voting meter didn't even reach 90 percent ...

Akhtar bros got picked first in bowl -It had me wondering🤔 if it was hemant first would anyone else manage to unseat him from there..

Khair😛,it was akhtar bros ,didnt like the performance much and their comments later on vishnumaya were uncalled for👎🏼..

Chetan tried a different genre with suna na sangemarmar but his singing🥱 just destroyed the romantic feel of the song...

Vishnumaya choice of song highlighted her beautiful voice⭐️ ,she sang so well that shankar had to give a tutari 🤔wish monali and diljit had joined in with some enthusiasm ..

But vishnu's long winding english explanation on choosing zaid was unnecessary,it got bored expression from the judges ..

Zaid good song choice,he sang partly well , made few mistakes but his cuteness factor won over the voters and judges alike👍🏼...

But its shocking judges have different yardsticks for contestants - shankar just refused to dissect his mistakes -for vishnumaya he would sit in analyzing with a microscope ..

Rohan singing was good,he sang with amazing feel👍🏼 ,i was really surprised that he failed to beat zaids score..

Happy zaid😛 made himself more comfortable laying down on the golden sofa 🤣..

Hemant is showing so much versatility as a singer⭐️ ,his superb performance in the grungy rocking song makes him most deserving of the golden ticket👍🏼 ..whoever is pitted against him will have a tough time...

It was a 'mohe rang do laal' episode😛 with so many judges singers dressed in red😛,monali got red cape 😛 ,vishnu even sang it--😉seemed like a sendoff party for the missing red sofa..😆

No eliminations this week and no red sofa (😆 pJyo!!), Chetan gets to stay on today as well, since the focus was highest votes and not lowest votes as is usually the case. So the pressure on the contestants should've been less and they should've sang more confidently and been at ease. However it wasn't the case for all.

My ranking of the performances:

1. Vishnumaya: 👏. This girl wows me everytime. This song isn't easy to sing, there are a lot of ups and downs and the alaaps that come in at places take off with almost no breathing space. As someone who's trained in Classical music and has learned to appreciate it more over the years, I'm always going to credit someone who pulls off a classical song well more than anyone else. So although Hemant was terrific, Vishnumaya is my number 1 this week for the choice of song and the perfection with which she pulled it off. She's only 12!! She sings like a professinal. She will go far, this girl, even if she doesn't win this show - if there is any justice at all in the world- she has to!

2. Hemant: He was phenomenal! He chose a pop-rock song and I was blown away by how he pulled off "Bheegi-bheegi", but somehow felt he lost a bit of steam in the middle - maybe because he was putting in so much energy in his singing. I lost connect with his song towards the end- but my god- what a powerful, confident singer he is! Take a bow, Hemant! 👏👏

3. Rohanpreet: His voice is so sincere, so sweet, and like Diljit says - it hits close to the heart. He definitely needs more riyaaz but he tries. Oh man, he tries so hard! And he added his own touches to the song - some little harkats and twists that were so endearing and praiseworthy! I'm not sure why he only got 84%, in fact, I'm surprised at the low voting percentages overall today. Like someone pointed out, they may have dropped because of IPL.

4. Zaid Ali: He was excellent, as usual and pulled off some very tricky nuances in the song. He is extremely talented, but I think his voice needs to develop some more, it cracks at times. Also, he made a couple of mistakes, in fact, went off-key and so in all honesty I had to put him below Rohanpreet, but I enjoyed his singing!

5. Akhtar Brothers: They weren't bad, but I don't know the song they picked. I also think they have an unfair advantage over the solo singers in that when one of them gets tired (or drags a harkat a bit too long), the other can step in to relieve him. Something the solo singers don't have. And this advantage should actually make them better than the others. But it fails. I think it's because the song is shared between the two of them, they're unable to infuse emotion into their singing, they're unable to own the song and give it soul and that's why they fail to connect - with me, at least 😃.

6. Chetan: The only thing I can say in his favor is that at least he tried a different genre. It didn't work for him though. His voice, unfortunately, is suited to only one type of song and like Diljit said, he should stick to his strength. Kudos to him for making the effort. He could get better if he hones his voice, does tons of riyaaz, tones down the shouting and grows older! 😊

The positivity that could've come in by focusing on the high scorers and making them sit on the golden sofa was taken away by having them make mean comments on the other contestants. Akhtar bros comments on Vishnumaya were uncalled for, harsh and seemed totally made up in their heads! I stopped listening after that!

Shankar's reluctance to talk about Zaid's mistakes also pissed me off. Judges have got to be fair and not have different yardsticks for different contestants.

Ticket to finale will be given to whoever wins in the face-off between Hemant and the top scorer of today. Which means no elimination at all this week. And next Sunday is the finale! The show's ending so soon! I will definitely miss commenting, discussing and all the people on this forum! 😭

I took a while to calm myself after this sham of an episode and all the shenanigans that went on where the channel resorted to cheap tricks and blatant nepotism to get their favorite candidate up there- all poised to win the title! Well done, Rising star! 👏😡

Have nothing much to say, but I will review the pre -face-off performances in the order of my liking.

1. Vishnumaya: She was mind-blowing. Her voice is so clear, so pure and she hits all the right notes as Diljit correctly said, as if on auto-tune. This is an extremely difficult song to sing. And the uniqueness of Vishnumaya is that she manages to keep the soul of the song intact despite not knowing the language. Hindi is probably as Greek to her as Malayalam was to Ravi 😡😡. Also, keep in mind this girl has to work doubly hard at getting her pronunciations right too since she doesn't know the language. And despite all this and after giving such a goose-bump raising performance, Monali comments that Akhtar Bros were better than her! 🤢 I have no words - not sure whether to laugh or cry.🤪

2. Zaid: He was amazing! His harkats were just wow today. How does he do it? How does this little 11 yr old manage to infuse so much emotion into a song? He is a wonder! All the respect! 👏

3. Akhtar Bros: I did not enjoy their song or their singing. Like I said, they have an unfair advantage in that there are 2 of them and one can pick up where the other leaves off. It gives them breathing space that solo singers don't have. I sometimes wonder if the format of the show itself is unfair - pitting groups against solo singers and kids against adults.

4. Rohanpreet: He really wasn't good today. I normally like his singing, but today he went off-key in so many places that i was forced to vote Akhtar Bros above him. The choice of song didn't do him any good. Again I raise the question as to who chooses these songs for the contestants?? 😕

5. Chetan: He was back to what he does best. But he doesn't even do that very well. He needs a lot of riyaaz. He just isn't ready yet. And each time I hear him perform, I can't help but think what an irony that he's in the top 6 after being voted out in the early stages. Guess who we have to thank/blame for that?

Vishnumaya deservedly won the face-off spot against Hemant. As for the actual face-off I have said all I wanted to in the other posts. All I want to say is- You go, Vishnumaya! You rock! You're terrific and I'm gonna remember you as the star of Season 2! 👏⭐️

About Ravi's so-called parody of the Malayalam lyrics in Jiya Jale- well done! 👏 You have stooped to a new low! I don't think you can go down any further, unless you want to dig a deep hole in the ground and descend right down in it! 😡

My take on today's performances.

Chetan - he was his usual self. He's overstayed, and I guess we've got to tolerate him one more day. On a positive note, he's screaming lesser.

Zaid - this kid is blessed. How else do you explain his amazing harkats. He sings so effortlessly. Today was clearly one of his better performances. It's a shame he lost to Vishnumaya (she was much better) after a stellar performance.

Rohanpreet- he was so off tune. In fact he just started off tune and never really got better. He has a very sweet and soulful voice, but today his singing lacked soul.

Vishnumaya - this girl is phenomenal. I mean how does one sing like that at 12-13??? Not a note out of place. My jaw dropped when she started . That first note was enough for the judges to know she was going to hit it out of the park! I expected nothing less than 95% for her, though she deserved 100%. And Monali really thought Akhtar brothers were better than her?

Akhtar brothers - I enjoyed their performance. I agree with Lizzie, that it's easier when two of them are singing together, they can cover up each other's flaws or take over when the other one falters or goes low on energy. But I truly enjoyed their performance. What's more important is that you can see they're enjoying their performance too.

Vishnumaya clearly deserved to be on the golden seat.

The face off:

After monalis comment that the Akhtar brothers were better than Vishnumaya, she was clearly demoralised. You could see she was nervous. This was clearly not her best performance. She was brilliant in places while in some places she trembled. It wasn't bad at all. Everyone was taken aback by how soon the performance ended. Even the judges hadn't voted. I'm sure she would've gotten atleast another 10%-15% votes of people knew that it was a shorter performance.

Hemant - this guy is amazing. Loved his performance. In the face off he was better.

I only hope Vishnumaya and Hemant make it to the top 2, and Vishnumaya wins it.

For me Vishnumaya is even better than Maithili (from season 1). She really is chhoti Chitra. She is ready for playback.

im seriously pissed of by the way these contestants were pulling each other down. I mean they could have just said everyone has to sing so we are choosing randomly.

the comments made by akthar bros on chetan & vishnumaya were uncalled for & the comments made by vishnumaya for zaid were not called for. who is even teaching such things to a 12 year old kid. her guru or her parents😕. the performance was clearly affected both of zaid n vishnumaya after that. im glad dailjit called out both akthar bros n vishnu for that.

In response zaid was quite cool about choosing rohanpreet & rohanpreet im sure wouldnt have resorted to such tactics if he sat on the golden chair. i love these both for that & zaid deserved to be the candidate for the 2nd spot on sunday just because of this. But vishnumaya performed exceptionally well. Though i feel Zaid would have given better competition to hemanth than vishnumaya in the faceoff.

no. Zaid went off tune both on saturday n sunday. Also his voice sounds hoarse these days. Just because he is a kid u can't say he is better than vishnumaya

I really enjoyed yesterdays episode (except what happened in the face-off, which I will talk about later). Even, the drama wasn't boring and quite entertaining. So I really had a good time watching it, and the performances were much better than yesterdays!!

I will first talk about the normal peformances and then the Face-Off.

The performances in order of my preference:

Vishnumaya- I am speechless. 👏 Even 100s of clapping emojis won't be able to convey what an outstanding performance it was. I feel like, solely for this performance she should have gotten the Ticket to Finale, helll she should have won the show already for this. 😆 To sing this song so in control, in sur, with perfection is absolutely not a piece of cake. I feel like not even singers with years of experience can pull off something like this. My dad even said she reminded her of Lataji. 😊👏 BUT, I was so pissed at the voting. She should have gotten at least 94%. 😒

Zaid- Another beautiful beautiful performance. One gets so much sukoon listening to him. I truly was moved by his performance. One of his best. 👏⭐️ However, not better than Vishnumayas performance. But the Rahat Fateh Ali Khan songs are getting repetitive.

Akthar Bros- It was a good and energetic performance. Really enjoyed. although, I felt at parts they were screaming. But still a good rendition of the song. 😊 HOWEVER, nowhere near Vishnumayas performance miss Monali 😡

I got SO SO angry after she said Akthar Bros were better than Vishnu. In which world?? Were we listening to the same performance like her?? Whatever she was smoking, I need it!! (i am joking)
You know guys, I used to read these comments on Monali that she is insecure of female singers on the show. And I used to laugh at the comments, because I thought why would she be as a judge be insecure of contestents. But today I am totally convinced that she literally is insecure of female singers on the show. Because she very well knows she IS not even close to them. 😈

Chetan- I really enjoyed his performance. 😊 I felt like it was one of his best performances. Varun was right, he created an amazing atmosphere. And he truly is a born performer. ⭐️I have a feeling he is going to make it big in the future. But yes, his singing needs more practice. But please don't be mean to him, he is already getting tons of hate comments everyday on social media 😔

Rohanpreet- What has happened to him? He normally sings so effortlessly and with feeling 😕 Maybe he is just nervous. I also feel he should have chosen another song. I love this song and I think only Atif Aslam can do justice to it. But what has surprised me is his votings. Why is it so low lately?? 😕 I just caanot believe the voting is true regarding the ammount of fans he has. 😲
FYI, he has 111 Tsd (!!) followers on instagram and Hemant has "only" 17 Tsd, Akthar Bros around 7 Tsd. There is definitely something fishy here ... are they misleading us??

FACE OFF ROUND

Hemants performance and song choice was definitely better so it was obvious he would win.

The injustice done to Vishnumaya is unacceptable. Not only did she get way less time than Hemant to perform but the way the show and judges ignored her was so rude 😡 What was the need to cheat?! Hemant would have won it anyway. At least respect a talented young artist!!!
And then Monalis stupid comment. 😡😡

HOWEVER, I still don't feel Hemant will win the show. Last year, Maithili won The TIcket and she didn't win either, even though she deserved it from what I have heard. So I feel this time it's going to be the same 😕 Don' think Vishnu will win either, the way the show treats her 😒
It's either going to be Rohanpreet or Akhtar Bros. Let's see, maybe I am wrong.

Only one week left 😭😭 I am going the miss this show and you guys. 💔
