Baldev's character needs more dimensions

I am now finding it increasing difficult to believe that Baldev had been a cassanova at some point of his life. Ajay Chowdhury cannot be blamed for it, it is the director's flaw. He is a man who has portrayed to perfection even the role of a lustful rapist and stalker in Dil Se Diya Vachan, so I don't believe its a flaw in his acting. But hum sorry se shuru karte hai, he looks like he has just dropped in a spaceship from some other planet. He has a blank look in his face, as if he has lost his memory and is seeing Sudha or Satrupa for the first time in his life.
