Apart from dat she seems to be fine and an example for how manipulative a girl/woman should be in this era... mainly when it cums to our own kin 🤔...

I really hope creatives justifies why satrupa sway away Anami instead of Vatsalya in the first place..And I seriously wish that Satrupa is not d one who made Narottam to do classical dances and reason for his effeminism.. :-S

If ppl call satrupa as selfish, power monger, blah blah... I wonder what dey call Pujan and his wife?? 😆

Satrupa has willpower that drives her to the throne. People I guess find it hard to see a Female lead negative. Where I have been waiting to see a negative, non-abla, non-majboor, non-sacrificing female lead on Indian Television.
But I would definetely not like it if Satrupa turned out to be that woman who was making Narottam dance. That's just too evil in her part. No wonder there's always some kind of hidden fight going on between Satrupa and Pujan. Sometimes I feel like Satrupa knows Pujan is the "bad man". One has to be a devil to know the other one?
@Bold: Hard to see everyone negative in a TV show for the first time, right? 😆

Though I don't approve of Satrupa 's decision of giving daughter over son but I CAN understand , giving the circumstances/situation she was in...The other woman in her husband's life had already given him a son so it's very natural for any wife to feel insecure ...maybe to strengthen or maintain her status she had to do what she did... she is , after all , a woman not a super woman ..every action of hers so far may be bad but it's NOT unjustifiable... only thing in my opinion unjustifiable would be if she is responsible for Narrotam's condition ... there would be no justification for that...none whatsoever... that wld b pure and simple evil.

I had this same conversation with friends a couple of days ago. I can't hate Satrupa either. I felt she chose to keep Vatsalya not because she loved her son more than her daughter but because of traditional dictates saying the path for her son to inherit would be smoother than for a girl. Perhaps she should have fought for her daughter straight way but the other consideration was that Vatsalya was the eldest and therefore the rightful heir. No denying that the power that came with being the mother of the heir when the father is already disinherited must have been a consideration too, though if it was a subconscious one or well thought out remains to be seen. Yesterday there was a subtle look of pride on her face when Anami walked into the room, I have no doubt for Satrupa's love for Anami regardless of what she may be hoping to gain by bringing her back to LM.

What I have an issue with is that she never once tried to find out if her daughter was ok in the past 17 years. Perhaps the loss of her first set of twins put an irrational fear in her mind that she should have contact with only one child? I don't know but I love the fact that we have beautifully flawed characters with human fears, emotions and reactions. We are a sum total of our life experiences and that is true for every character in this show.

Yup Satrupa is power driven, so choosing VAtsalya over Anami can be fr many reasons other than the sexist one😆 Plus, she was young back then and probably more career driven. She obviously does not hate her child right now, as you pointed it out too. She's just someone who'll do stuff to stay in power. We are just so used to seeing Nari who are supposedly strong but not selfish enough. I am not supporting her for not "Thinking" about her children, but she is an individual too at the end.
I like how they are showing her a little selfish. Bored of watching woman who think about everyone else before themselves. Everyone here is doing things according to how they want it. Nobody cares what the other person wants. Narottam is like that punching bag in the families who get blamed and all. Otherwise everyone's selfish. I've never seen people calling fathers who ignore their children because of their business or job as selfish. Anyway two different thing I know, still. It's hard to see a career and power driven mother I guess.
Though she doesn't even look that evil honestly. She didn't remember her child probably because she knew she had to live without one to keep both her children safe. I won't be surprised if the defense mechanism of the brain got into work to protect from grief and depression. MAybe her body was just protecting herself?! It's her daughter I get it! But she's a human too!!
Lol totally agree to your comment on human making errors! 😆

I am reserving judgment for now. She has not given her reasons for V over A. We don't know what she felt of did not over the years... For now I am of the opinion she gave away her child. Not done. Bringing back Anami - that I think is more about ensuring at least one of her children get their inheritence and defeating evil of Pujan or whatever forces took V away from her.

I know n i really dont blame her for chosing vatsalya over Anami for me evn if she has done it d other way it would b same for a mother seprateing from her new born baby is hard n painful doesnt matter what their gender is my pblm is with her indifference to abandoned child!

As for d women torturing narottam(which btw i dint get to see bcoz sanskari Etisalat edited it out 😡 )bt from what i saw on twitter i think its Dadiji!

I dont hate Satrupa. See I could understand why she send away one child after listening to her that she lost two babies immediately post birth and when she conceived second time she was afraid. Yes any mother would be.
She did it as per guruji telling because guruji told it for the safety of both her babies.

The fault is why girl child and why she didnt go to the child till then. Girl child we do not have any explanation. Why she didnt go to the child till then. Because guruji didnt ask her to go, as per guruji both children will be safe if one child is away from Lal Mahal. So in a way for the safety of her second child she didnt go to meet her.

Satrupa as a human - i don't hate her. i find her fascinating. she is stunningly shaded.

Satrupa as a mother - She has lost her twins once. Guruji implicitly told her to give away her first born to protect the child. yet.. she chose to give away her girl child. so in a way she chose her desires, wishes, dreams over the child's safety. and vatsalya paid the ultimate price for her choice.
She was a wonderful mother to vatsalya no doubt. but by failing keep HIS safety and life paramount.. she failed him.
and she did fail Anami by not even bothering to check if the child is alive or not. blaming guruji doesn't cut. the world is extremely cruel place for an abandoned child more so if the child is a girl. yet it took Guruji to remind her that her has a girl child too.

Royal steels, mahal and property won't bring back Vatsalya (if he is indeed dead).
and the inheritance won't negate 17 years of abandonment hurt that Anami went through. she just lucked out that her foster parents are such beautiful humans and parents. otherwise her life would have been a hell because her birth mother chose to give her up.

so as a mother.. Satrupa failed her both children.

i don't hate this character. in fact i am looking forward to her backstory, her thoughts, her game plans. if only she doesn't play victim card. coz let's admit it.. she is not. and that adds to her grey aura.

I do not hate anybody atm. They are all intriguing with shades of grey , including Pujan.
