Ratan didnt harm himself over a date. diya was leaving him and he knows she loves him and there must be something major happening for her to still leave him and lie to him. so he does it to force her to accept that she loves him so that he can find out what the hell is really going on. he then follows her and ask yash to look into their room for clues. yash finds the letter and tells him what is going on.

But you know, woh betrayal track walay wall pins and "I will kill you and myself" wali intensity irreplace-able hai.. Maybe actual scenes mien nazar aaye.. 😳 But so far, I had lost all hopes in cvs...so these scenes are giving me hopes... 😆 Mager ziada hope bhi nahi kerni chahiye... when he knew she loved him and trusted him even when she slapped him and threw him our, how and why would it all of sudden believe that the diya he knows so well has stopped loving him.

he is not becoming obsessive over a date. he is worried sick about diya and doesnt know any other way to try and force the truth out of her before it is too late.

so first he tries other tricks when they dont work, he cuts his hand. then she bandages it. he at this time says why did she bandage his hand if she doesnt love him and forces her to accept that she does. but then he steps away from her.

the next scene of him holding her from the back is after they have taken care of the terrorist. that is the time he is trying to get romantic because finally their issues are resolved and he tries to kiss her but diya pushes him away and runs away from there.

i know re...the segments were edited badly. to work out which is before and after look at ratan's clothes. in one he is in black t shirt (hand cutting scene) and in the romantic one (post taking care of terrorist) he is in red t shirt with black jacket. some of the segments meshed the two parts completely so that it was confusing.

of course he is passionate about diya. and we all know he is an intense lover and if show wasn't ending we would have seen really amazing chemistry between the two because he would die for her. we all know that. he is just not turning into a crazy obsessive lover anytime soon.
