Did Diya use to love Abhay ?

there few flashbacks shown of diya n abhay both remembering them even isha also shown telling ratan sa abt them. Abhay also was telling ratan abt diya and him. But can anyone tell did diya use to truely love abhaysa or its just fascination or emotions of young diya as everyone had their fantasy abt love n marriage in young age! She also feels bad when she say no to him and burn his letters n gifts sent by him in between 12 years! she is shown crying and feeling sorry for him! so was it fascination or true love she felt for abhay?

I honestly feel that she never loved him. She liked him, well he was a nice guy and probably there's no reason to hate him. But that definitely don't mean she was madly in love with him. There relationship was more of an arranged marriage type relation, where couple will start loving each after they know each other completely. But here neither they got married nor they got enough time to know each other. And Diya is definitely not a girl who'll fall in love by just seeing him.

She did love him as a girl who loves a boy. The love that comes at a young age when people are carefree and worry less. The current Abhay also seems to have that kind of love. He does not try to understand her... Does he?

So I personally don't think she loved him, may be he did. But not diya imo.

I don't think she loved him.. maybe it was infatuation or some attraction every 18yr old has towards her fiancee.

if his love was just casual he would not have waited for 12 years even after diya calling off their engagement .

But the love a grown-up would expect to have now with all the gores that she faced so far... Should be deep, extremely supportive and understanding. She needs someone that carries her burdens on their shoulder puts her ahead of them... Sadly Abhay and Ratan both do not qualify for that kind of love as things stand at the moment . Their character need to grow.
