Nice topic.. It;s a different opinion than mine, but I respect it nonetheless.
A lot of people say that it seems to be directed at the urban crowd, which is true if you look at the materialistic asset of the show: the clothes, the home design, the clubbing, the casual relationships, etc.
However, the show is based on the Indian tradition of arranged marriages. It has only been altered to fit the thinking of the 21st generation. Instead of parents researching about prospective spouses, Rohan and Isha are getting paid and doing a better job. I don't agree that it dosen't appeal to the traditional public, I feel they are just acting ignorant. After all, they don't seem to turn their backs at movies of Shahid, Shahrukh, Aamir, Saif, Hrithik etc. who portray the modern ideas in a more illustrative manner.
Also, the show seems to surprise me every episode.. I don't think it gets repetative as every episode it has portrayed a certain issue that we all go through in life. It can be prejudice, being narrow minded, facing the reality, being selfless.
One of the major reasons I love the show - practicality. It is something we see and go through everyday almost.
about the pairing.. well, I don't know about that. Although I wouldn't mind if they did get paired up.. I prefer they don't. It's nice to see the casual flirting and smacking of friends.. don't we all do it
?! It's good to have a show that displays nto every main guy/girl in your life has to be your potential life-partner. It's defying the so called norm of Indian shows.
Also, I'd rather have a show made up of friends .. flirting, teasing, smacking, wtv.. but at the end of the day they are just BFFs for life.
I think the show is one of the best entertainment shows to come on Indian television in a long time. It's realistic, practical, witty, pioneering, entertaining, and elegant with classy goofiness.😆
