Now just hear me out before you assume anything... The show was still above the standard of quality of most of the other shows on television but when I compare this particular episode with over a dozen episodes of Rishta.com this flashback episode was a tad bit boring.
Firstly, there were a lot of loose ends that Rishta.com usually takes care to address and bring together by the end of the episode but were sort of left hanging in this particular episode. It was quiet hard to understand whether Isha and Rohan knew each other well enough or not. What do we assume? Also, they show nothing about Gaurav and Isha considering that in the "present" atleast two episodes were dedicated to Rohan's jealousy over Gaurav and Isha. Plus, it would have been great to see Isha randomly find out that Rohan ditched his date for her (but maybe she will find that out later in the season).
Second, this show always gives you some food for thought but this episode was just BLAH... With every scene my mind kept going like "ok... so???" And usually just when you think the storyline is going in a particular direction it takes a whole new turn. This one was too predictable though.. At the point when Isha first mentioned her boyfriend to Rohan and he said he had no date I figured they would end up going together. I didn't have anything to look forward to, to keep me going till the end.
Lastly, no ruchika... no sally.... no coffee area... hideous Isha hairstyle (it actually made her look older than younger)... I kinda missed the whole setting.

Hmmm…Wow. I'm kinda the opposite! I really liked the episode, although maybe not my favourite one but definitely didn't hate it or find it boring. Risha + boring = nonexistent! I thought they showed Rohan and Isha to be friends in a way that they knew each other pretty well. They knew quite a lot of things about each other's lives (i.e. the way Rohan asks about her boyfriend means they know personal things about each other. I wouldn't tell things about my boyfriend to anyone but a good friend). The fact that he gave up his date with the hot Alisha proves he really cared about her and they were really close. So I assumed that they were really good, yet unconventional friends.

About the Gaurav-Isha thing. I do agree here slightly. I think they should have showed at least one scene with the two.

I really hope Alisha comes back to Rishta.com to find a mate and ends up telling Isha about Rohan. That would be awesome.

The episode was predictable but I think they way they present the story makes it awesome nevertheless. I knew Gunjan would realize her mistake and Isha-Roshan would end up going to prom together. I wish Isha saw her ex-boyfriend with another girl. It was really sweet how Rohan protected

her from yet another painful experience.

I also missed Ruchika and Sally a lot. And the whole office setting too. But they were sitting in the canteen together, like they normally sit in the coffee machine area. I actually liked Isha's hairstyle. I found it cute. I love bobs and pixie cuts but they could have added a little more of bangs. The hair clips were super cute though!

All in all, I liked the episode but do want the next one to be back in the office!

I didn't find the episode amazing, and neither did I find it bad. Maybe it's because there were lots of expectations for the flashback, and thus the feeling? Personally, I didn't think there were any loose ends, because it was never implied that they would be pinpointing the exact status and depth of the Rohan-Isha relationship. Heck, they don't even do that in the present day episodes 😆 Everything about them is in subtext and you always have to infer from it in order to gauge their relationship. This episode was no different.

Gaurav and Isha, maybe they got friendlier later on, when Gaurav found out that Rohan took Isha to the prom and started pursuing her too? 😆 Again, it's not something that I feel like I need an explanation for, so not a loose end for me.

Being predictable and leaving over no food for thought, absolutely. Then again, I think the flashback was more of a small glimpse into Rohan and Isha's past and how matchmaking was very inherent to them. Again, I guess if you were expecting that there would be something very surprising about their relationship revealed, it would be a let-down.

Really missed Ruchika! It would've been so great to see whether she was still the same bold yet twittering Ruchika in college :P And of course, the office. Looking forward to being back there next week (:

rishta.com is NEVER boring to me....it has always lived upto my expectations so far :)

Loved the epi very very much. Loved the way they had stick to its original concept & executed everything so beautifully. Rohan's dance stole my heart.

awww.. am sorry about you not liking the episode.. I kinda loved it to be honest.. It was supposed to be about how Rishta/com came into the making and I think they got it across..

Yes, I do agree the thought of the day was missing.. that's one of the greatest part of the shows.. the little things that make you rethink situations and just life in general..
but i guess it was a good break from all the thinking.. I think it highlighted the whole jist of college life.. no one thinks!! 😆 I think it just shows that some moments of life don't seem to be important at all.. but that one moment can affect your entire future.
and YES.. I cringed at Isha's hairstyle.. poor girl.. she looked like an aunty in college.. she was way too prepped with extremely neat and tidy hair.. i think Huzeifa caught the essence of college life with his dressing

hahah so i am perhaps the only one who liked her hair style
and loveeedddddddddd the episode :P
they never said it has to specifically be abt hw rishta.com came into being..we assumed that fro the tellybuz article.. bt i mean they showed enough to sort of understand how it happened..
rohan and esha were shown as friends infact really good ones and in some old episode umm the one with the short guy i think rohan said i am sorry we did nt hang out and all i think he meant like they did nt party together and all :P
and food for thought was unless u try to approach someone and talk to them and make a move u cant expexct someone to be all in love with u.. one should gather up that confidence so that the other person ends up knowing you.. ("project parhe bahair ye kaise pata chalta ke project mein kya hai" or something like that -huzefa )

one thing rishta.com cant ever be is boring... each time it has entertained me and made me laugh my ass of ! :)

@Bold blue : 🤣..I so agree with you! The way Gaurav said "Hi" to Isha when he saw her and Rohan together at Prom already seemed as though he was ready to take on Isha also..Must have been crafting out a plan in his mind to go after Isha..😆 😆..He sure is so funny...gosh i still can't stop laughing whenever i think abt his college look...😆
@Bold red : Also agree with you...:)..I'd expected more from this flashback episode. Having said that, i still loved it. I think it was more of just showing how Rishta.com was formed..and then adding abit of Rohan and Isha's story...and yea i too didn't find any loose ends in it..like what you said, they weren't attempting of showing Rohan and Isha relationship in the first place..
I'd expected more in the sense that, i wanted to know how Rohan and Isha became friends initially. That would be really interesting to have known because both of their characters are so different..and Rohan is supposed to be the famous guy..and Isha well she's was just an average kid in terms of her social status in school....🤔
About Ruchika though, i don't think she was the same college as them. I guess it's always been Huzeifa, Rohan and Isha initially..and then Ruchika joined them in the later part when they started Rishta..but missed her too.
And guys though there wasn't any coffee this time round, there was at least Milkshakes! 😆..Rmb Isha offering Huzeifa some, in a glass with a straw..? 😆
