ppl take time accepting new things...even though rishta.com isnt getting trps, its still very popular...so trps can go die....trps matters the least to me...rishta.com is rocking! Even this show gives message in every episode, if not social, then a beautiful one for sure.

OMG LOVELY AND EXCELLENT POST!!!!!!!!!!!
Every word you have said is so very true!!!! The shows have barely been around n they r getting ready to can them!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!! These shows do have an ability to appeal to the masses but u gotta give the audience some time. Also changing of time slots is not gonna help either.

Very good post!
I think that the channels do not really care as to what they are showing as long as it gets them good TRPs...and it is just a matter of following the trend.
Since YRF has made a start others might follow suit.

The YRF offerings are decent enough to start with. They are the best on TV right now but things could be better too.
I like that these shows are devoid of excessive melodrama of an eighties movie...and are relatable several times. No loud music that was introduced in shows by Ekta Kapoor...and no wild camera shots.

The only thing I do not like is that YRF is trying hard to ape the U.S. model of making T.V. shows. I hope we can make better and original stuff.
I mean I can watch them on Star World...I would like to see shows that are relevant to the Indian context and that is not rural all the time nor is it set in palatial homes :)

i SO agree with every word u said.
every other show on TV has a rural background to it with the same goddamn message!..why so many shows then?..can't it be just one?..
but shows like R.com just go unnoticed..c'mon why should we watch this?..does it have any saas-bahu drama? no. does it have a rural background ? no. does it have reincarnations/plastic surgery rebirth? no. do people cry till the tears ( or glycerine) end? no. Then i don't see any reason why people should watch it. Really, it shouldn't even be on air. Its not fit to be on Indian TV.
okay enough of my venting, but the last line i said above was true. Seriously Indian audiences will never adapt to this kind of show. Had it been in Star World or Zee Cafe, where there are much better shows, but still it would have done well. i don't want to get to that, but its just a fact that we don't accept such a show.
R.com is like the BEST show on indian tv atm, Howmuch i love the other shows n the couples in them, id root for that. It has a fresh concept, and no single episode can get you bored. Which other show can do that without showing endless romance?..so R.com is seriously a class apart, n im happy its going off air as it doesn't deserve this treatment. Sony is crazy to shift the timings after what 2-3 episodes?..that sure lets you decide how well the show is doing!..if only they came to this forum!

Very well said! Damn right!!! Perhaps the Indian audience is just not apt enuf for this show.... I think no matter how fresh n different this show is, ppl still prefer that in every serial there should be a fragile lead girl or damsel in distress whose constantly falling into the arms of an uber handsome lead guy while the dude catches the girl and has a staring contest for half the bloody episode. Booooooo!!!!! Its getting old now 😡
