Am I correct about Reporters timeline? Please help.

May be I am the only one a little bit confused here but can anyone please verify if I am correct in my chronological order of events in Reporters because with so many past revelations I am all jumbled up 😆😆 Please feel free to correct/add/delete points; Malika I think this how it happened going by what I have understood so far and may be I am wrong. Actually these characters are so complex and confused themselves, I have a high chance of getting it right.

PS Writing this post on the basis of what Kabir told in epi 42 (When he came to Anu's house to tell the truth oops I mean lie 😆) and what he has been telling after break up. If I summarize the events of the SK murder case,

1. Mr. Sudhir Kashyap, an honest man used to work in a pharmaceutical company, RG Pharma, as lab in-charge. He had two kids and he lived with his wife and kids in Delhi. Now, RG Pharma used to sell adulterated medicines and one fine day Mr. Kashyap, who was fulfiling the duty of a responsible employee gave a report on that. But no one paid heed to it (Actually most of them were involved in this fraud). Later a complete batch of these medicines about which Mr. Kashyap had already warned was sent to hospitals and 50 kids (In epi 42 this number was 8 dont know 50 kaise ho gaya ya phir ye bhi Kabir ne jhooth bol diya 😆) died after consuming those medicines. When this scandal happened Rakesh Gupta put the entire blame of replacing good medicines with adulterated ones or the blame of this whole fraud on Mr. Kashyap. This is the only consistent piece of the whole story.

2. Mr. Kashyap was arrested and framed but only one man understood his truth that is Kabir Sharma, who was a struggling reporter then. He used to live with his bhaiya and bhabhi and he wrote an article on SK's side of the story. All this while Anita madam was sitting idle at home, doing nothing. I think he was framed first for the death of the 50 kids. He comes home and tells Anita that he has nothing to do with this scam. He tells her he fears for his life but he has made arrangements for the proofs to be handed over to the court of law even if he were to die before this happens. Before he could do anything more, the police raid his house and they find a suitcase full of money. They accuse him of taking money from a rival company and get him arrested. This makes me think that he was in touch with Kabir even before he was arrested and hence he told Anita that he had made arrangements for the proof to be produced before the court. Once he is arrested, Kabir writes about the truth which gets him a bail. On bail, SK goes into hiding and calls Kabir (the flashback of their meeting that we were shown last week) and tells him about those proofs and Kabir promises to help him. SK calls him at some place to hand over the proofs and I think that when Kabir reaches the place, he sees SK being thrown off that cliff (hence he is an eye-witness), he cannot save SK but manages to catch one of the goons and hands him over to the police. But before he can take case further, Monu is kindapped and he gets a threatening call from RG to either take back the case or be prepared to lose Monu. His brother and sister-in-law plead with him to take back the case and save Monu which he very reluctantly does. I think once Monu is freed, Rajveer and his wife ask Kabir to move out of the house and their lives (probably because his tendency to stand by the truth can always endanger their lives). Meanwhile before meeting Kabir, SK would have posted the letter to Kabir's address (since he knew he might be killed and hence the proofs could end up in the wrong hands / be destroyed). Rajveer's wife wants that letter to be burnt but Rajveer just hides it.

3. The article was so powerful that it led to Mr. Kashyap being released on bail. He came home and told his wife that now that he is out, his life is in danger but he will bring out the truth and do justice to the 50 kids and he has already done arrangement for it (He was certainly talking about Kabir here). Strangely even here Mr. Kashyap didnt tell much about Kabir to his wife. No I think he was accused of the scam, comes home and tells Anita he fears for his life but he has the proofs and before he can do anything he is arrested for pilfering the money and Kabir's article gets him the bail. Yes it puzzles me why SK never mentioned about Kabir to Anita. If he feared for his life, then he should have told Anita to contact Kabir in case of his death and take his case forward and to closure.

4. He probably thought he will soon be murdered so he told Kabir about the name of culprits may be either on phone or by meeting. Kabir wrote a follow up article on the case revealing the name of the people involved but before that article could be printed Mr. Kashyap again Kabir to meet him...may be he wanted to tell that he will soon be killed. Due to some reasons Mr. Kashyap was afraid if he will be able to meet Kabir or not so probably he wrote everything on a letter and posted it on his name.

5. When Kabir went to meet Mr. Kashyap, he was not there. Kabir searched for him but what all he found was his wallet that led him to Mr. Kashyap and he saw some goons beating him. He tried to stop them but probably they even beat him and pushed Mr. Kashyap off the cliff.

6. But with the help of Khurana, Kabir was able to get hold of one of those goons and get him punished. Meanwhile the Kashyap family thought Sudhir is missing. Kabir thought to get his follow up article printed (But strangely he doesnt try to meet the Kashyaps)...But before the article got printed his nephew was kidnapped and his family endangered. He had no option but to withdraw his article. He went against his ethics and decided to stay quite for the sake of his family. He even withdrew his article from getting printed.

7. Meanwhile RG who had now scared Kabir enough to make him withdraw the article and not give his statement as an eye witness build up a story that SK is dead and he committed suicide. The police (ofcourse other than Khurana and his squad 🤣) too abides and they call Anita to show the wallet and tell her that her husband is dead (which Kabir saw initially)...Anita leaves the wallet and doesnt agree. She thinks Mr. Kashyap is alive and he will come back one day as his body is not found. (Again she doesnt try to contact the man who wrote that article in the first place 😆) I do not think Anita knows anything about the wallet. I think the wallet was left behind / fell off when the goons threw him off the cliff and Kabir kept it with himself. Maybe Kabir is forced to retract his statement on SK's death and change it into a suicide story. Since Khurana was not present at the scene of the crime and assuming Khurana was a junior officer then, nothing much was done to pursue this case further.

8. Kabir is then asked to leave the home of his bhaiya and bhabhi and once he leaves, Rajveer gets a letter adressed to Kabir by SK. His wife wants to destroy it but Rajveer hides it.

9. Kabir moves on in life and what he has done once he doesnt want to repeat again and that is compromise with his ideals so when the case of Shreyas company comes he refuses to oblige. He and Shreya get into a relationship and he like the truthful guy he is tells her the whole truth about SK case before marriage. And Shreya-Kabir get married. And rest we know what happened. Here is where I am confused. Looking at Shreya's closeness with RG, I have a doubt they are in cahoots on the medicine scam and may have plotted and planned SK's murder. During the course of time, Shreya might have wanted revenge on Kabir and hence the marriage. I am saying this because yesterday when Shreya tells RG that Kabir and Ananya are not longer engaged, RG sarcastically tells her , uski khushiyan tum manao, I have nothing to do with it.

10. On the other hand Ananya who is Mr. Kashyaps daughter, and is made to beleive by her mother that her father is alive resolves to bring justice to him. She just knows that there was this man called Kabir Sharma who wrote this article on her father and considers him her hero. She too decides to become a journalist like Kabir and get the truth out But here I have many questions, This part is plain idiotic. Anita never bothers to find out what really happened to SK. I am not sure what the police version of that story was at that time but even if they had reported him missing, I do not see any concrete steps she took to either find him or prove him innocent. Ananya was around 16-17 then and she would have resolved to become a journalist to get to the bottom of this. But honestly other than following Kabir Sharma, I did not see her doing anything as well. If the mother daughter were so confident Kabir will lead them to the truth, why were they waiting for 8 years. They could have sought his appointment and tried to learn the truth.

-If she had become journalist for her dad why didnt she try to contact Mr. Sharma in the first

place? I think she knew he worked in Delhi Kranti right? 😆 And dude she was in press still

couldnt reach Kabir...not cool!!

-Why Anita didnt tell Ananya about the proofs and all she was bragging about tonight?

-Why didnt Anita give Ananya the biggest clue that police says her father is dead and he

committed suicide?

So basically for 8 years Ananya was beating around the bush with wrong clues or directionless goals all thanks to her mom 😳 Mrs Kashyap doesnt have an iota of idea about whom her husband trusted...who was there with him during hsi last days or why is police saying he committed suicide despite the fact that her husband wanted to fight, till the end! TOTALLY NOT COOL!!

11. Finally after 8 years Ananya meets her hero in her office whose now the new EIC. She doesnt only want to knwo the truth from him but she also has a soft corner for him now (quite naturally). On their very first meeting itself she tries to talk about her father with him but he isnt interested in listening. Then some events happen like she losing her job and he getting defamed in Dr Sinha case or their opinion differences in Mahi Malhotra case that for a few days keeps Ananya away from getting out the truth of her father. But on the next best opportunity that is during the baaghi case, she tells him the truth. She wants to make him her friend and also asks him to tell more about her father but he acts as if he doesnt remember. And then before their bond can get any stronger and she can ask more about her father e himself tells that er father committed suicide.
