Since both RK and the writer have confirmed, the news has to be authentic ! I guess we can trust them more than SBS ! Anyhow, the new show cannot probably air on 9pm because Ekta mata has another show running on that slot on another GEC! So I guess, some changes will be made. Anyways, Reporters has got a 5 episode extension and I have my dreams running... :)
