Guys I work in this field. Technically, you can send a mail ID and make it appear it like it is coming from somewhere else. For example, I can send a mail to make it appear like it is coming from my boss, and send it to my colleague saying, you are fired! :) It is quite simple and can be done by even freshers in the company.

But, like I said I am sharing this as a technical possibility..

I don't know how they are going to show it on the show..

Couple of things. My husband works in the networking domain and when I was talking to him, he told me that even if your machine is behind robust firewalls, it would probably take just a couple of hours to get the IP address of the sender. It might not be possible for the KKN network team but the cyber security cell attached to each police station can do the job quite easily.

Secondly understand Ananya is not in a frame of mind to decipher the origin of this email. I am sure Ronnie or somebody can drill that in her. Lets hope for the best.

Yes, that is a possibility based on what the IT guy told Kabir. Investigation might reveal that the mail originated at KKN itself...

If it is a straight forward personal or office ID, Khurana or IT guys will be able to trace the source easily.
