Episode 47 : Raja ki Jaan in a Totii..

Oh well..

I'm down with flu, and so have nothing better to do.. Please excuse if my thoughts appear muddled - it's the cold and fever meds..

The Episode was just like we expected : Everyone's true colours coming to the fore, external influences clouding Ananya's judgement, Malvika playing her cards, Manav jumping to the opportunity, and Ronnie finally confessing his feelings to Ananya..

Yes, like any other KaYa shipper and Kabir fangirl, I too am left dejected with the turn of events.

And yet, there is something that gives me hope..

Malvika :

I couldn't have agreed more with Manav's assessment of her psyche. She is a highly insecure woman- bratty, dominating and full of herself.

While she doesn't admit to it, but her sole motive does appear to be Kabir ko phaansna..'

Kabir Sharma is way beyond her reach; she knows it, and yet she refuses to accept it. Maybe she thinks she can change his opinion of her, and that she still stands a chance.

Tonight, for the first time I hoped that she would actually listen to Manav. Coz if she did, she'd see the mirror, and hence the real picture..

But nope.. She has now taken it personally, by accepting Manav's challenge, and alienating Ananya.

She did not need Manav to voice out the truth to her.. She knows that the Raja's jaan is in a Toti..' And she's doing exactly what Manav hinted at - Trying to strangle the Toti..

It does seem like she will continue with her shrewd, cheap efforts until she finally manages to pluck the thorn from her way.

But here's where she is mistaken.. KaYa, or not - Kabir Sharma can never belong to a woman, unless of course he decides to. And right now, he is in a vulnerable frame of mind. Vulnerable, delicate, yes - but not weak! And the Kabir we know will bounce back stronger than before.

So, nope. She doesn't stand a chance come what may; unless of course she uses her father and KL's authority to subdue Kabir..

Then again, I feel even that wouldn't rattle up Kabir.. Coz like he says, he carries his resignation with him daily. KKN may need Kabir to reach to the top, but for Kabir - it's just a stepping stone to his success.. 😎

Manav :

He's just an opportunistic leech, for lack of a better word. As much as I liked him showing the mirror to Malvika, what he does later on is absolutely cheap, and true to his character.

He wants to use Rohan, and later Ronnie to provoke the entire staff against Kabir. He still thinks he stands a chance to be the Editor-in-Chief. While Rohan might not succeed in his task, coz by now the entire staff knows Manav's true colours, I'm kinda worried about how Ronnie would react.

I'm pretty sure Ananya will refuse his proposal, and that might spite him. Added to it, if Manav fuels him against Kabir, things might just get worse.. And right now, we do not need more enemies, in person and situations against KaYa..

But one thing is for sure..

Kabir is going to return with a roar, and claim his territory back.. They shall soon know who the real Boss is.. And Manav, of all people will be a sight to watch when that happens..

Ananya : The Diljali

The Toti' in question.. Ms. Kashyap is the most hard-hit of the lot.

While she is still grappling with the intensity of her emotions for a brooding, divorcee, womaniser Kabir Sharma, on the other hand she has to face Malvika's animosity, and now Ronnie's sudden proposal..

I've read some posts on the forum declaring their disappointment in Ananya, but for some reason, I beg to differ.

If there is anyone on the show, who is true-to-their-character', it's her..

This phase, where everything seems jumbled up, a hundred opinions are being forced upon her, she is bound to feel insecure, and hurt.

Kabir's sudden disappearance, his nonchalant attitude about his character being dissected by the world, and Tarini's relationship with him has forced her to put her rationalism aside. She, who is a brilliant reporter and can decode human relationships well, now stands at crossroads, trying to understand the mess, her life is.

She feels attracted, infatuated, drawn towards a man she has hero-worshipped for a long time. She believes it to be love; and while I'm not challenging the authenticity of her claims, I think she will soon realise that love isn't as fickle as she thinks it is.

She is too young to be caught in a tangle of office politics, women contesting for a man's attention, and above all, to fall in love with a man who never reveals his real self to the outer world.

What does she have to hold onto? Why would she trust Kabir, and his intentions blindly when there is so much evidence that proves otherwise? The trust that she has in him, is slowly being eaten away by her own insecurities, and by Kabir's alternating hot and cold treatment of her.

Her love/infatuation/friendship for him, is making her weak. It is further complicating her life, and there seems to be no respite from it.

Once she rejects Ronnie's proposal, she will be coaxed for answers - by Ronnie, Richa and perhaps by her own mother too.. But does she have an answer, worthy enough to convince them?

Nope. She hasn't been able to convince herself, as yet..

But she won't give up.. She will try her best to convince them, herself and perhaps even Kabir - only to realise that she's living in a bubble..

At the moment, Ananya is in a very delicate frame of mind, and with everyone trying to push her to the limits of her tolerance, it is only a matter of time that she snaps..

She will have a breakdown, that is for sure.. And it might not be very pleasant for us KaYa shippers, I feel..

How Kabir's absence, and later his presence relates with her jumbled up emotions remains to be seen.. But a breakdown is inevitable, and that will only make her stronger..

Despite the initial heartbreak, I'm pretty sure we'll be treated to some heart-melting conversations and eye-locks soon..

Kabir : The man, himself..

In spite of his absence, Kabir Sharma is the hottest topic, around at KKN.. Goes on to prove the extent of authority that the man exerts over his rivals and colleagues..

He too, similar to Ananya is caught in a web of emotions. His past badgers him even today, his present jabs at his conscience, and his murky future leaves him heart-broken.

All he has to do, is step forward, and embrace the one thing that can bring him peace.. Falling in love with Ananya is his greatest blessing, and salvation.. But has he reached that stage yet?

I'd say no.. It was Tarini and Khalid who fed the idea into his brain. A man as sharp as Kabir, does not need anyone to lend voice to his thoughts.

He knows that his tightly held composure is slowly slipping away, his heart is yearning with forbidden desires, and he is afraid to confront them, lest he is forced to admit the truth.

(Holy Basket!! If the writers of #Reporters are reading this, can I please request/beg you for a Kabir Sharma monologue.. Pretty please.. *Puppy eyes*

We really need to know more about the thoughts that are churning through his head at the moment.. )

As much as he will yearn for Ananya's friendship, and her warmth to shield him from the cold ruthlessness of the world, these are his battles to fight.

And he has to regain his lost strength, bit by bit.. Because this time, he has several mouths to shut, and a heart to win..

Even if he does come back unscathed, and puts an end to the chaos that has erupted in his absence, his defensive stance in Ananya's favour (If any) is bound to raise several eyebrows. And he won't be able to slip away without confrontations, me thinks..

Oh, and yes, I think Kabir's trip to Singapore has something good in store for Mr. Sharma.. KL doesn't seem like he possesses the same brainless genes reflected in his daughter.. Perhaps, a promotion is due for Mr. Sharma, or something of the likes.. But I'd really love to watch Manav's hopes getting deflated..

Coz Hey, Mr. Sharma is the Hero.. And Heros may make mistakes and fumble, but at the end of the day, they'll still remain our Heros..

Some days back I read Minu (DexterRocks)'s post on how the KKN staff misjudges Kabir, always.. Khalid seems to be the only sane person who knows what's really going on, but he's just too indifferent to everyone's games. Although I do think that he will strike when the water crosses the bridge.

Manav really needs to be put in his place, and who better than the mighty, equally shrewd and manipulative Kabir to do the honours. He seems to be taking undue advantage of the issues plaguing Kabir's life at the moment, and I'd really love to watch Mr. Sharma out-witting him at his own game.

Malvika, has blossomed into a full-blown TV serial Vamp now. She does not love Kabir; I doubt whether she is capable of loving anyone other than her fake pride. But now it's a matter of her ego. To her, Kabir is just a conquest, and she will try her best to win him over, even if she has to lie, strangle our pretty Toti , and create disturbances in KaYa's life..

Ronnie, although seems a sensible man to me - something tells me that he will be easily brainwashed, now more than ever. He doesn't care a dime about office politics, but this time Kabir Sharma appears to be laying claim over the one person that he professes is the centre of his world. How Ronnie would react to Ananya's rejection, Manav-Rohan-Malvika's instigation remains to be seen..

But the bigger challenge for Kabir will be Ananya..

Yes, he may not be prepared for an open relationship with her, now that he too has his own demons to fight.

He will not accept her love, or admit his own, and it might even seem as though he would alienate himself from her - But that would all be for her sake.

He knows that his silence, and one misjudged action (perhaps) cost Tarini her life, and a lot more. He won't let that happen to Ananya..

In case Ananya leans towards Ronnie for a shoulder to cry upon, Kabir is bound to get heart.. All the bottled up frustration, angst and guilt will eat away at his patience, but he won't relent.. 😉 (Oh, and RK is undoubtedly the best, when it comes to portraying a jilted lover..)

It's be interesting to watch his conflict when he juggles between the stern, composed Editor-in-Chief and a man hopelessly trying to cling to a second chance at love, and life..

And if, and how the woman in concern is able to break through his defenses, to unravel the real him.. Coz someday, Ananya has to rise over her heartache, and prove herself worthy for a fight for a future with Mr. Sharma.. ❤️

All in all, the roller-coaster ride has just begun. Despite the rumours surrounding low TRP's and breaking fangirl hearts all around, I'd say - Please hang in there, loves..

RK, Kritika, and the Writers won't disappoint us..
