Kabir is attracted to her character, her liveliness and now her pain.. I do not think his thoughts had steered in THAT direction..

At this moment, he wants all of her! The good, bad, the strong, the weak.. he wants to be with her.. So it's natural for him to remember all moments he has spent with her..

There is no strict demarcation between friendship and attraction at the moment, from Kabir's side atleast.. which is why he's mixing up things, getting confused and hurting..

Incredible post as always Avantika!

I was going to make a post, but later on got so immersed thinking and rethinking about Kabir's thought provoking complexities, I resorted to reading all the wonderful posts over the forum.

Rajeev simply nailed it today, his acting giving full justice to Kabir. Even Kritika as the heartbroken Ananya was very realistic.

I was a little dissapointed as I got to know about an impending MUs track. But the sheer perfection of scenes bowled me. Kabir feels the helplessness, his guilt of breaking the news to Ananya and shattering her hope which she held so dear. There is much more to this Kabir than what we are witnessing. His past had been merciless, wounding his conscience and killing his innocence.

He has already come on terms with his confounding feelings regarding Ananya. No, not in romantic way, but he knows how much she means to him, friendship may be his priority now, with his ardent love feelings nestled deep in niches of his mind. Yet they do make their presence felt from time to time.

Imo, Jealousy is not what he feels when he sees Ananya in Ronnie's arms. Its the utter helplessness. No matter how much he wishes to console her, he just can't. He very well understands the situation Ananya is in, yet all he can do is watch her from a distance. Situation is sensitive, he knows if he tries to run to her, the farther she'll be.

A certain incomprehensible void has been created between these two conflicting personalities, threatening to engulf either of them if even a single misstep is taken.

Ananya is not that dumb to not reach to a conclusion about her dad being dead. She knew this truth all along, yet she never foundy the courage to face it, accept it. All these years, like her mother, she lived in denial building up false hope. So when Kabir gave the wallet, it resulted in sudden realisation of situation. Realisation of her own thoughts, her own denying mind. It was like a sudden jolt of electricity running through her as she grappled with her own vulnerabilities. She is strong and fiesty but underneath is this vulnerable, little girl searching for reasons to accept the truth.

Kabir is letting his old, vulnerable self take control, resulting in misunderstandings.

Agree with you, it'll take some time for Ananya to come in terms with Kabir and his haunting past experiences. Once that happens, no one can stop them. :)
