Audiences today are quick to respond to developments on their favourite shows. Be it the introduction, death or replacement of a character, viewer sentiments can no longer be ignored.

This is exactly the case with Star One's youth show Remix. Its going off air has angered its loyalists—teens, primarily. In fact, they are circulating hate mail to the channel and the show's producer Shrishti Arya. So far, nearly 2000 viewers have signed an online petition called 'Save Remix' that seeks the channel's intervention to continue Remix.

"I would like it if Remix continued, but ending it is the channel's decision. I have been receiving hate mails on the same issue. Viewers must realise that Remix is the stepping stone to more such cult shows. I would love a comeback, but I don't know when that'll happen. We are winding up the show in a manner that'll allow us to return. The last episode is inspired by all the mails I get," says Shrishti Arya.

"I am very proud of Remix and the way it has helped students develop their relations with their parents. Many are protesting online. Remix has a lot of fan sites that hold strong presence among internet users. I understand their anger, but it's heartbreaking," she says.
