Ashi was getting bored. Yuvi has been talking to al his colleagues about surgery and what-not and she has absolutely nothing to do. Sighing, she looked at Yuvi, only to find him talking intently.. the look on his face was of great interest and concentration. She decided not to bother him and instead got up for a glass of Chardonnay.

'Hi sweetheart, bored?' She didn't know when he had crept up behind her.

'Yes unfortunately. But you seem to be enjoying yourself.'

'Are you kidding? With those looneys? Never! I always get bored with them.' he replied laughing incredously

'Really? Then whom do you not get bored with?' she asked, tugging playfully at his tie.

'You.. and only you' he cupped her chin and kissed her..

Little did they know that a pair of eyes have heard everything and a pair of ears have listened to their entire conversation..

'Ashi, this is Pierre. He is one of my assistants and one of the most efficient people on the team. Lieut. Col. Pierre Dupont. And Pierre, this is Anvesha-'

'I know.'

Ashi froze.. this was the same man with whom her baggage got misinterpreted.. the man, whom she had fallen for at first sight.. something which even Yuvi has been unable to do..

'Oh ! how do you two know each other?' She could only vaguely hear Yuvi's voice as she was so lost in her reverie.

Every part of Pierre wanted to scream out, 'Because I am in love with her, you moronic fool of a doctor' but he couldn't. Instead he simply said, 'Oh.. we just met before.'

'Yes we did Yuvi .. and he was very helpful.' Ashi said with a smile anxious not to get Yuvi all worked up. And she added, 'Hello Pierre.'

'Hello Mademoiselle.' He replied and took her hand and brushed his lips against it. His warm lips send a shiver through her spine.. and intoxicated her body beyond everything she had ever imagined.

'Very well then, it seems as if you too know each other quite well.' Yuvi said, smirking slightly. He barely had time to finish his sentence as he noticed that Pierre had gone up to the dais to make some kind of an announcement.

'Ladies and gentlemen, Madames at Messieurs, Today I have a special announcement and a request to make.' His voice was vibrant and it attracted attention easily. Ashi stared at him with dreamy eyes and couldn't help notice how soft and brown they were.. 'Have you ever fallen in love?' he was continuing, 'If you haven't I will tell you how it is, love is when you care for someone immensely.. love is when you always dream about the person you care for.. love is when everything he or she does becomes intoxicating.. love is when he or she is the only thing worth living for.. and finally love is two people coming together.. under a bondage..' his eyes wre glistening by the time.. and so were Ashi's.. she knew at the moment that she had fallen in love..

'And today, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a small request for the person I love.. for the sweet and innocent girl who makes me feel light-headed.. and for the beautiful and elegant lady with whom I had fallen in love..'

He moved forward to where Ashi was standing.. and he dropped down on one knee in front of her.. oblivious of the fact that everyone was staring at him.. and slowly he took out a shining sliver ring with a precious and exquisite diamonds surrounded by two emeralds.. and whispered softly..

'I want to lie with you in green pastures,Swim with you in fresh, blue water.I want to hold you until all times end,I want to know you forever and be your friend.Love me will you, this I ask,Open up to me and take off your mask.Kiss me, love me, my love for you never diesLike a candle that never goes out,My love for you burns on and on.Please say yes as I ask you this,Sweet angel of God, pure precious dove.' And taking a deep breath.. in am even softer voice.. he held out his hand.. and whispered the magical words..'Anvesha Banerjee Ray, will you marry me?'
