A School Drama as a daily soap ? Well it is refreshing but not the first one tried. There have been school dramas before in various channels. Some of them are still existing, some of them were good but most of them were duds. But Remix- a new school drama on Star One is promising- so far !
The Concept
A school drama is quite a good concept. It appeals to the teenagers still in school and those just out of it like me (though it have been 2-3 years it looks like yesterday since I was in school ! ) Remix is story about a few troubled youth in a boarding coed school Muarya high. Like I said before it is not something that?s not tried before but Remix does have a cutting edge. Unlike other school stories Remix is fashionable and hip.

It?s take on school romances and issues like that are more realistic than before. More importantly Remix treats the students of high school like they deserve to be ?.like adults ! We have to remember that high school students at the end of the day think and feel like adults though they are not fully mature at that, but earlier school dramas tearted them as kids and that?s where they went wrong.😃😃
The Plots and Subplots
The plots and sub plots in Remix are quite interesting. A famous filmstar?s daughter , a young man keen on revenge, a poor rich pseudo-hip girl, a young dynamic teacher in affair with his principal?s wife and many more. The best plot though is about the mysterious ?Black gang? in school. Overall it does bring back nostalgic feelings of school! 😃
The Characters and Cast
Anvesha: Daughter of a film star, and quite mature and strong headed for her age, she is the heart of the story. With a ?couldn?t care less? attitude and edgy take on life she is a character to watch out for. The girl who has played it has done a FANTASTIC job. She is a potential star.😎
Ranveer: A soft spoken mysterious Rajasthani youth. Ranveer has already passed out from school but he comes back for a mission. To avenge his father?s death and to crack down the black gang. In the process he starts falling in love with the girl whose destruction is his mission?.come one we have heard this one before. As far as the cast goes the guy has done a fair job. 😳😳
Tia: You would find examples of this character easily ! The Vernoica of the school Tia is though hip and cool gal on outside is a confused soul within. We have see em haven?t we. The girl who plays it is quite cute and does a wonderful job. 😃
Yuvi: The regular bad boy?.Yuvi is a the son of a politician. His father is quite a crocodile?..and Yuvi is quite hearless like his father?.or do we see shades of kindness on him?we would have to search really hard for that. But anyways great role and the guy does a good job.😃😳
On The Flip side
Well there are cons too. For one it is 1 hr everyday and unnecessarily stretched. No one has the time to watch it everyday !!!! Also nowadays it seems the story has become stagnant? a faster pace in a shorter time would be interesting.😡😡
Final verdict
It is a good soap to follow?.if you have 1 hr to spare everyday !
