Chapter 8

" But why Yuvi?" asked Ashi in a frustrated voice.

" Because I want to ok…..? And mujhe aur kuch nahi sunna hai…"

" But playing in band toh tumhara dream hai…remember….u wanted to play the guitar ur entire life…aisa tumne mujhse kaha tha…..toh ab kyun?"

" Ashi…..Remix is about all four of us…agar unme se ek bhi nahi hai…then Remix will not be Remix….." said Yuvi…his voice chocked with emotion.

"Duh-huh Pschycho!!!…..kya hua agar hum nahi hai….after all its ur dream…I mean….tum apni dreams ko is tarah se sacrifice toh nahi kar sakte na…..loser ki tarah baatein mat karo!!!"

" Ashi….u know what?? Meri aur bhi bahut si dreams thi….jo mujhe sacrifice karni padi…and you know what I'm talking about….." he said looking straight in her eyes.

But Ashi looked away from him…and said " That's not the point Yuvi…."

" No Ashi….college ke baad hum sab alag alag raaston par jaayenge…..sab ki apni apni commitments hongi….sab Remix ke liye waqt nahi nikaal paayenge…."

" Par Yuvi…."

" No Ashi…I've decided…this is the end of Remix…..shayad yeh Remix ka akhri performance hai…."

" But---"

" Ashi…I started Remix….now I will end it…"said Yuvi and he left without another word.

" Oh bhaisaab…dekh ke chalo!!!" said an angry pedestrian as Yuvi bumped into him.

" Sorry…sorry….." said Yuvi without really knowing what he was saying.

It was almost 10 yrs since he had made that declaration…..and indeed the performance on their farewell from Maurya had been the last Remix performance….all of them had become extremely emotional as they sang their favourite tunes…..

" K Guys….one two three….." said Yuvi when the foursome were in the shed.

" REMIX ROCKS!!!!" they said together and hugged…. Thick tears falling from their faces.

" Right….toh abhi hume chalna hoga…everyone must be waiting for us…." said Ashi wiping tears from her face.

Ranveer and Tia left…..but as Ashi was about to leave…Yuvi caught her hand.

" Ashi….please…ruk jao…"

" Yuvi…lets go…" Ashi repeated.

" Nahi Ashi…please…just for two minutes." He said and he went forward to kiss her......

" Yuvi!!!!" said Ashi pushing him away and she left the shed before he could even tell her his feelings…it had been his last opportunity…..and he had missed it….

He felt tears being formed in his eyes…and he knew they had nothing to do with the fact that he could no longer play in Remix…………………

He had lost her forever…………

He hadn't attended the farewell party but gone straight home….for him…it had been the worst farewell ever…….

And that was the last thing she had said to him…..after their farewell…they had left for their homes and the very next day Yuvi had left for London to do his MBA….. playing a guitar had been his teenage dream…but there was so little of the world he had seen then…..and he knew a rockstar life wouldn't take him far…..

And so he had left …leaving behind his guitar…leaving behind all those memories…coz thinking about it just brought him pain…he had failed to make Ashi realise his feelings…he had lost her forever…..for the first one year….he constantly debated whether to call or not….but then he just accepted the truth….and went on with life…and that was when he met Sandy…..

He and Sandy had been together for four years now…and Yuvi thought his life was perfect again….until he met Ashi today morning….

He couldn't believe that all had happened in only a single morning…..

He heaved a big sigh…and went home……

wow! wat a writing skill u hav! i can actually visualize every word u'v written nd i too can feel uv's pain . im at loss of words to praise u 👏 👏 👏
