Chennai : Raj Television Network has announced its second fiction property Azhagiya Laila that is also to be launched on the same day along with "En Thangai" on 4th may.
...While En Thangai will be placed in the evening timeband @ 6:30 pm and scheduled to be aired on every Monday to Saturday, Azhagiya Laila falling in the Super Prime time @ 9:30 pm will be aired on every Monday to Friday.
Azhagiya Laila depicted a love story of a girl Parvati who madly loves a boy Rudra, but Rudra denies the relationship. Rudra was an army officer who does not believe in love and emotions.
The story revolves around the life of Parvati and Rudra as to how love happened between the two even if their thoughts do not match. While Parvati loves the idea of love and romance, Rudra is irked by the particular emotion itself, yet the two are pulled towards each other by an unknown force. Their love story is aggressive and passionate.
The episode starts from the very beginning where both Rudra and Paro aka Parvati were seen as kids. The childhood sequence basically throw spotlight on the past and shaping up of characters of Rudra and Paro.
The most popular actress on television, Sanaya Irani who got famous for her role of Khushi Kumari Gupta in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon played the lead role of Paro in the show. She portrayed the character of Parvati where handsome hunk Ashish Sharma played an army officer Rudra.
This love story was based in Rajasthan and shooting was done extensively in locations like Bikaner, Jaisalmer, old forts of Rajasthan and desserts.
