Ashish Sharma
Ashish Sharma, who plays himself in the show Tujhse Naaraz Nahi Zindagi, talks about why he accepted the real-life show and how it's different from Rangrasiya
Ashish Sharma will be seen as a radio jockey in the upcoming show Tujhse Naaraz Nahi Zindagi. The actor will be interacting with regular people and will get them to open up about their lives, hopes and struggles. "The show is about the struggles of common people who are celebs in their own right. We look for real heroes from all walks of life. I have realised that these heroes are everywhere, one only needs to look. The show is about how they manage their life hurdles and come out with flying colours," says Ashish.
"I was getting many offers for different shows but I was waiting for something that I would love to be part of. And this show came along which gave me time for myself as well a huge amount of satisfaction professionally," he says, adding, "I am an RJ in the show and I play myself. In fact, the journey of these people is told through me. Nothing is scripted and their stories are told truthfully."
Talking about accepting the show, he adds, "I was interested in doing something appealing. I have never done something like this before. It was very exciting... like coming back to my roots. Life seemed to have come a full circle."
TNNZ is a far cry from his other hit show Rangrasiya. "My character in Rangrasiya was emotional. It was a sensitive role. But over here I simply play myself. With every story I have taken so many things with me. I do pick a leaf or two from their journeys, which I tell. Every single celeb' has inspired me," he says.
"We have finished almost 10 stories. All of them are inspirational. Viewers will be left spellbound and are surely going to be moved, as was I. One thing is for sure, their struggle will give hope to one and all."
Ashish, who had taken a long break after Nach Baliye, adds, "I had quite a few torn muscles therefore I had to mend them and underwent treatment for the same... I had to undergo rigorous physiotherapy. Also, I went on a long holiday with my wife and family. During the Rangrasiya days I could not give her enough time. We visited Amsterdam, Maldives and also went to Rome."
About his production plans, he adds, "We are planning a couple of shows as well as some feature films... we do not have any scripts right now."
He is also thankful that TNNZ is not as hectic as the other shows. "This show is completed very peacefully. I have no rush for shooting."
Ashish, who is known as the hottest star in the industry because of his role in Rangrasiya, adds in parting, "I am happy that people feel that way about me. Honestly, the only thing we actors crave for is for people to appreciate our work. Giving titles in any capacity makes me feel good; I feel honoured
