<div>It was a high-octane finale of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa when Ashish Sharma was crowned the winner of the dance reality show. The actor took home the trophy, a car and the prize money of 30 lakh. We spoke to the actor after he was announced the winner. Excerpts from the chat:

Didn't think I'd last this longI thought I would be out of the show after two-three weeks. I thought I wouldn't be able handle the pressure of two shows - Rangrasiya and Jhalak. I had never imagined that I would reach the finale. More than anything else, I am just relieved it's over. I had a crazy schedule. Juggling two shows was really tough. My body was giving up and every part of my body would hurt. I haven't slept properly in the last four months. Ever after winning, I haven't had the chance to catch up on sleep because there have been celebrations happening.

Audience support made it possibleThe audience supported me. No matter how good a dancer you are, how well you perform, you won't be able to go ahead if you don't get their votes. The entire journey of Jhalak has been about audience support.

The prize money will go to ArchanaI haven't made any plans on how to use the money. In fact, I didn't even know that there would be prize money! However, whatever I earn goes to Archana, my wife, and I get a monthly allowance.

Archana is my support systemThere was this one week when I had fever, severe body pain and the performances didn't go well. At that time, I was thinking of giving up. Aisa lag raha tha ki body ne jawab de diya hai. But it was Archana who said, 'Don't worry. We're home. Don't give up.' Shampa designed all the acts. She knew that my strength lay in acting and she utilized that in all the acts. She has won Jhalak twice and that shows her calibre.

Rangrasiya is close to my heartRangrasiya ended recently and I'm very disappointed. Nothing can beat the sadness I felt when it ended. It was a show close to my heart. Rangrasiya brought me closer to the viewers. It will always remain special to me.

A Europe vacation nextArchana and I are planning a long vacation now. I am planning to relax and let my aching joints, bones and muscles get some rest. I also plan to visit Jaipur to celebrate the win with my family.
