Many Muslims in India celebrate Holi and Diwali because as they live in India they are just surrounded by the festivities and so can't help but participate in celebrating. It's like, they see everyone doing it, and it just looks so lively, so they decide to take part as well. Don't know if I make sense. Muslims in their own Muslim countries stick to mostly celebrating their own religious festivals though I agree...Although I know many who celebrate Christmas. That festival seems to be an exception for many. 😆

However yes I agree with @bold. It was unnecessary to give BI the Holi special episode, RR should have gotten it instead.

Zee, I agree with you ... haven't been in India for a long time, so don't know about Muslims celebrating Diwali and Holi ... but living abroad, all Indian tend to celebrate all festivals together ... the Hindus organise the Diwali and Holi parties, to which all our non-Hindu friends are invited, and all take part happily. Similarly the Muslim friends organise Eid parties, and the Christian friends organise the Christmas do'es and we all join in together.

I've had a Christmas tree for my kids for many years, simply because they felt left out when their friends all celebrate Christmas ... but I don't think that's the same as celebrating Christmas ... my kids don't go to Mass or church or anything else. Muslim friends attend our Dusshera and Diwali celebrations, but some of them made it a point to arrive after our prayers were over.

Celebrating a festival is not just about the celebration, its also about the spiritual and religious part of the festival. Holi is mainly celebration ... but Janamashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dushhera and Diwali are all deeply tied in with religion. Which is why the parties are usually organised by the relevant hosts ... because they are not just 'parties'.

colors is trying really hard to bring down RR trps,... they cant say now na..because all color's new shows are in same bracket... so wait .. and if the trp dips., which, as i said, they are trying really hard for ... no promos, no repeats and now cutting down main telecasts ... so wait till trp dips, then you will get the confirmation the very next day ...

Do you guys remember the dialogue of SRK from Om Shanti Om ... something that means if we try very hard to get something, we get it ... same applies to colors... so much effort to save a show and shut down RR ...

Just hope the show you are trusting so much bring the expected fame to you ... and and and ... boycotting colors on monday ... whole day!! and ya ... after RR shuts down... and hope sanaya never ever looks at your channel ... and we dont have to EVER tune into your channel!!!!

living in Pak had never seen like this In my whole life
But we listen in news shah rukh Khan or salman khan throw a party and the whole Bollywood attend the part and enjoy together OR srk and Amir Khan attend ganesh pooja etc
After hearing these type of news we think about Muslim actors r they really Muslims
Cz if a Muslims will attend a ganesh pooja then how will he call himself a Muslim cz pooja is strictly stick to one religion
There is a diff between celebrations nd poojas
Not intended to hurt anyone
I Respect all the religions

Yes you're right that's exactly how it happens.

I don't think the Muslims celebrate Christmas by going to Mass or church either, they just do the christmas tree and gift exchanging part. I think religious festivals like Christmas and Holi have been commercialized and so people of all religions participate in celebrating them these days. Yes the festivals that are deeply tied in with religion are organized by those who belong to the respective religion in question. If BI got an Eid Special episode, RR should have gotten a Janmashtami Special episode. Don't understand why RR is never given these festival special episodes. Grr, Colors I tell you!! This is the height of partiality!! 😡

Inform all your friends about it too that no RR is telecast on Monday ,I've already informed my relatives and friends so that they don't have to switch on colors on RR time to watch other horrible thing and feel like cheated on Monday ..

Can you believe they are doing such things for one show and ignoring RR as if it belongs to its rival channel!! My God! Atleast drop cheating people!!

And they have not even aired this on channel that there is no RR on Monday and they are having a special epi for a their special show!! The RR viewers who are not on tweeter, IF and facebook will go to watch RR and end up watching nonsense!!!

This channel defines the word Cheaters!!

That's their evil tactic Shona , when they saw RR had same TRP they hatched this plan to bring RR down with vengeance , but let me tell u one thing MB fans cursed ST and see where is ST now , now colors and their special show will earn innumerable curse and heartfelt ill wishes from many viewers , let's see where do they go from now on ..
And inform as many as u can about this evil plan of no telecasting on Monday so that they don't have to tolerate crapfest waiting for RR on Monday on RR time -_-

I will boycott Colors here, don't know if it makes much difference in a foreign country. I have told my friends who watch to also boycott it on Monday, as the ridiculous channel is not telecasting RR...
But yeah, stopping my subscription as soon AS RR ends (if it ends...!)
