So yes, I finally sat down and watched the death epi, I cried, but 5 minutes later, was into the new story with Dhruv.

No I would have not welcomed Chapter 2 if it had been anyone other than Sanaya. For me, Sanaya RULES !!!!

I never had any issues over choosing serials in the west I looked for the story and then the characters and if both appealed I would start watching Acting was a given as everyone including the 2 second support cast would emote as they were all professionals and had resorted to acting as a profession This formula alas I found did not apply to desi TV viewing There have been times I have found the story good but the actors playing the characters most unappealing and vice versa I found that acting skills are not a prerequisite for soap dramas If the character had mass appeal even if the actor was wooden faced people watched Rarely have I come across soaps where story characters and actors appealed I watched IPK after that on off for a year sometimes nothing for months on end till RR happened and much to my surprise the 11 pm show where the actors are also doing a bloody good job For me now both the story and the characters have gone for a toss while I do like both the actors for their talent I don't have it in me to put myself through what is now a terribly skewered version of RR No matter how good their acting all that will come to mind is the terrible injustice done to the story concept and character
SI is real lucky to have loyal fans like you and so many 😃

Even the ending was so rushed.. Am mad at the creatives but am more disgusted at how the. TRP system works coz I know this was the main cause of all this.. I feel dramas are a way a person shows their creativity and their vision plus the story.. Therefore, the more unique it is the better.. But what's the point of it when that person's creativity is blocked by the outside world.. Creativity manipulated but damn TRPs...

In a week we will have them falling love coz ofcourse the bacha is there as the Cupid.. Then in another week they get married then another week we have another leap and then starts the love stories if the grown up bacchas😳

M sorry if I sound rude but our hearts are shattered and the pieces can never be put back... I will follow RR for Sanish and to see how the story will move on but I don't think the intensity or magic will be the same for me even though myrah is played by sanaya herself.. U connect with the character not the actor.. And hats off to sanaya for leaving such an impact on us coz even though this is a fictional show we love loveee paro and it's like we lost someone is real life..

I am not saying no to this new story but it will definitely take time for many people..

And wooo I don't even wanna think how badly they would be bashed if this character was not played by sanaya👍🏼.. Then we would say.. Suchislife #karma..

Don't you worry about being rude You can be yourself in my posts I have no issues over that You have really explained it so well and that bit about connecting the character right on the button One reason I am not able to put myself through this version of RR is because I remember the other one all the wonderful moments that was the story I was pulled in to watch not this and the way they wrapped up Paro's life of 7 months in less than 7 episodes is nothing short of criminal and it does not give them a get out of jail card just because they got SI to play the new one
Oh they were pretty sneaky on that one by making her reprise knowing there will be a huge backlash otherwise Today folks are going gaga when Myra will meet Dhruv and Daddy so Mukta was right #such is life

When I saw the SBB segment that was the same thought that was going through my head and I could not help remembering their first electrically charged scene as Paro and Rudra By making her trip and fall and seemingly run and call him Rudra did they think they could recreate the same feelings in viewers From the posts I gather she makes her entry running just like how Paro made hers Are they trying to make this his new soul mate for it looks like their concept of that is having same face The inside does not count
I never did see that movie but I think that is the one with Teri Mere correct? I think someone posted a clip from that movie for comparison in the other forum but put myself through Kuch Kuch Hota Hai very recently to see what the hell was that movie and now I fear for RR

well this PH pLayed it very safe.besides, Sanaya is a very amiable actress, she did not create any fuss and agreed to do Myra.
she dud not leave the sinking ship.she stayed put.I love her for that.Ashishh could have left too, saying he did not want to play dad, (ahem ahem, like Sanaya's real life boyfriend in Q-------- H--------).

And yes when it was announced that Sanaya was playing Myra, half the forum was pacified.Sanaya in any roop and form is acceptable.it should be Sanaya.if it was another Actress, the forum would have Been agitated and would have turned into a war zone.and before Myra appeared, the forum would be deserted.

And IMHO, there was no story left in Paro and Rudra's life from the serial standpoint that the PH could have used.so they had to take this drastic step to keep the story moving.Unfortunate but necessary.if it was not Paro, they would have killed Rudra.

From the TRP point of view, it is easier for a man with kid to fall in love again than a mom with kid.our society accepts a widower remarriage more easily than a widow remarriage.Hence Paro became the scapegoat..I dont know if killing was necessary.but maybe they wanted to show life is not a bed of roses.in serial and real life and memories of the loved ones stays with us forever. But life goes on.

So probably having witnessed that uproar the PH played it rather smart and got her to reprise My grouse why speed up that love story knowing you had to stretch it for a while There were so many parallel stories just begging to be told and a very interested audience waiting for it to unfold Why leave Tejawat incomplete Laila got lost The Mala story should have been a slightly drawn out process They could have brought in Nandini The aman sunheri story never got started and this I think is their biggest reason for lack of TRP no meaty tale and the speed Paro could have been separated from Rudra after her vow Their love story could have taken some time even the hate marriage phase spiced with Laila They did not have to prolong it till it had no meaning like in another show but there were people around who could have made it dramatic Mohini Maithali and Paro was another dynamic left unexplored oh well no point crying over spilt milk and I just got an additional half hour to myself

Honestly I would have preferred the opposite with Paro a widow and Rudra look alike romancing Different roles Now it is rinse repeat recycle with Myra running after him and him saying no Ermm been there done that so for me it is not a novelty

Anyway like you said the show must go on and it probably will Maybe the TRP lot will like this version

but the thing I am mad at is we were promised paro rudra story..y this kuch Kuch Hota hain n bodyguard movie in rangrasiya..this is not uniqueness..I love sanaya and ashish been their fan since their previous serials..but not able to watch this part 2 of rr..feeling so so bad..they have lost the basic touch of rangrasiya the rajasthan effect has gone, it's more like modern rangrasiya..😭

The current RR has no relevance to the original be it the theme set design costume and its like the last 7 months has been some sort of a mirage and we all have been hallucinating
The mourning handling was pathetic and I hate that Dilsher and Mala never got a proper bye as well they were so desperate to forget everything in their tearing hurry to move 7 years on In the process they have really walked over the feelings of the loyal viewers and I just hope for the cast and crew it pays it is their bread and butter else I am all for a good lesson for the PH for this chicanery 😡

The problem with SI is it is always about her looks rather than her talent Having a glamorous image is one thing but having that used as her yardstick for the characters she enacts is another I like her acting just like I do a handful of other actors in Desi soaps probably about 4 including AS I look for the character they play and if I like it enough I watch else I don't Now with current avatar what we will be viewing is an extended self of her on screen which is a terrible injustice to an actor who brought a not so well though out character like Paro to life based solely on her skills and talent I who was ambivalent about that character in the beginning now feel such a deep sense of loss that I don't want to watch RR

Samira the current version of RR is catering to the Lowest Common Denominator like SJ puts it Sadly the TRP lot like only simple family drama and all sorts of kitchen politics A character like Paro who was openly demonstrative communicative not afraid of her sexuality and direct is someone too alien for their daily dose In many ways her character although poorly written but the traits associated was far ahead of current desi soap time
Her spiritual values and lack of guile was something else
but I guess when so called net savvy liberalized and educated folks here on IF did not like that then how the TRP lot be judged for their taste

Why just you the entire lot of us here including me would have loved that scenario and if all things had worked to plan they would have kept us happy and added more viewers if the track was a success I don't know how many stopped I for one have temporarily gone off and if Myra has no connection then I will never watch RR even the old episodes ever

AS said her killing will be justified I don't know how unless it was just to placate the viewers and if that twist is just Myra then nothing else to say except wish them luck it is just a show for them and I guess for the PH killing of main leads has become a habit so this is just one more and I guess no more intense love stories for me again If I have the urge I will just watch BBC dramas where I know the story will be never tampered with and I know what I am getting sigh
