AUTHOR'S NOTE: Why Mala has to be grey?
Mala as per the show was depicted as a woman who wasn't accountable for what she did. Personally I am not convinced that she wasn't aware of her husband's business. Her involvement in it directly is debatable but she knew what was going on. My reasons,
1. This scam has been going on for 17 years and she has been with him for 15. He wouldn't have been too careful in the beginning. So she would have noticed things.
2. A lot of work happened in a part of the Haveli where they lived, if you go by Paro's first wedding scenes. Unless she was stuck in her quarters all the time she would have seen guns around. Even her room had hidden weapons which Aman found. Its impossible to assume she didn't know.
3. She has been helping him organise the weddings to girls she has watched grow up and loved like her own, as per Paro at least. So she must know the people receiving the baraat sarhad par.
4. When Paro is teased, she speaks of a gentle, soft spoken young man who might be a poet and that is exactly what Varunsa acted like till he held a gun to her head.
5. When Bindi and Paro praise the BSD Officersa and Tejawat snaps, she looks down guiltily. Because she knows that the organisation that her devarsa belongs to are the good guys and her husband is lying about their atrocities.
I apologise if I have hurt anyone's sentiment but whitewashing her character just to make her the noble mother figure is not going to happen in this story. For me except for Paro, maybe Maithili and Sunheri who can be considered white, everyone else is grey.

As for as Mala is concerned... I have no words.. She is one confused soul.. Even after knowing her husband's illegal trading she chooses to believe him .. Not a very intelligent move by a woman who was bold enough to walk off from a abusive marriage that too leaving her only son behind that too with his alcoholic abusive father, which is not pardonable... Waiting to see hw she ll react after knowing that it s her son who s after husband and also how they fall into the clutches of BSD...
Also hw Paro crosses the hurdle with her bholenath's guidance...

You're right, Paro is confused and doesn't know how to sort this mess. Rudra is actually wondering if she will sneak out. Our hero is one of a kind.
Aman is marrying Kavya, the girl from Dehradun whom he met at VK Singh's birthday party. I have kept that story in the background. But its definitely happening.
I have explained Mala's greyness in a note in pg 104.

Mala's greyness is explained in the previous page. Tejawat has is own set of issues its debatable who is the better person in that couple. Paro is not confused with respect to how she feels towards Rudra or vice versa. She doesn't know how to proceed at this point. That's the problem. The general knows Rudra won't put all his efforts unless he is reminded how Tejawat is a threat to Paro.

More on Mala in the note in the previous page. And Tejawat loves Mala a lot choosing him over Dilsher was definitely the right choice. She doesn't know that Rudra has already found out about the girls, so she thinks that information will buy her freedom.
