There was never a problem with the original story they should have stuck to it. If Colors wasn't happy with it, they needn't have aired it from the beggining. Things were fine till Tejawat was exposed after that there was pressure to usher in the love track, but the promos never reflected it. So all the people who were waiting for the love story, who stopped watching because of the hero being rude to the heroine never knew of the track change. Then the promo of the marriage in anger, that would have turned the older generation away for whom the rituals are sacred and not to be toyed with. Then there was the Laila track were the non-regular viewers were shown that the herione is dancing with the vamp who had a physical relationship with her husband. There wasn't a single promo aired which has made the show look good. The Jaipur track, the SW track, the Mangalsutr track, the birthday track, the SR track were not promoted at all. So when the channel airs only the negative promos and highlights only the darker aspects of the show why do they expect it to have a positive response on the TRPs and the viewship to increase. This is the channel's biggest mistake.
The mistake that the CVs are doing is, they are making the show based in trial and error. If the TRP comes down one week, the current track is wrapped up within the next week. People want the leads married, the heroine sees her doll and decides to propose without even thinking about it for a couple of episodes. The hero thinks the heroine set his father on fire he justs kicks her out with a few harsh words, no investigation no arrests made. People didn't like Laila so her track ends so abruptly we don't know if she will come back or not. Now Shantanu is not helping so they are just killing him off. And the original villain Tejawat exists only in Aman's reports.Another problem is ignoring the details in the race to the finish line. I spent the weekend ignoring the impending death of Paro and enjoying the old episodes. The quality of the show was in the attention given to the smallest of things. That's missing now. There were two things Rudra was certain about one his job was his best thing about his life and his mother's abandoment was his the most cruel blow he ever faced. We have seen him shed equal tears for both. But the Mala track was handled in the worst possible way. He first screams that he doesn't care or want to know what happenned then after a week of resistance he just lets it go without a care. In this rush to finish they have slowly moved away from the Paro who was sensible to the Paro who was guided purely by emotions. And now we are at the point that though the audience love her she is hard to understand. So the makers think by killing her character the show can be resurected. How will that help is beyond me when everybody id screaming from the rooftops that the Paro is the soul of the show.If the channel is pressuring them to kill the lead and go for a leap, they are not learning from their mistakes either. The leap with a new character having the same face as the dead heroine is something tried on the same channel with not much of an effect on TRPs. Leaps help the show only when there is nothing more to the current story. This story can grow and move forward with the current characters. Enough has been said about the available options on this forum. I hope somebody on the RR team makes an efffort to read it.
Thank you so much dear for the this wonderful post. It totally reflects everything in a gist. Well seems like the channel and PH are not gonna learn from their mistakes. Fingers crossed that we are proved wrong and the base of RR which is Parud remains in tact.
