Heavy rains were pouring as Paro looked at out the window from their bedroom. Worry was eating her up alive. Rudra wasn't home yet, he hasn't been for hours. She figured he'd finish up late, like most nights this week. But the rains outside let her worry more than she usually would when he'd come home from work late in the night. Hours were passing by, it was 1AM already, sleep eluded her eyes as worry ate up her heart. Tapping her nails on the glass, nail biting, foot tapping. Her body seemed to have been counting as well. How much longer, she thought, how much longer.
Finally, she heard the haveli doors open. A tinkling sound of payals were heard from a far, they were getting louder and louder until he saw his wife running to him. She looked like a dream, all day he'd been waiting to come home to her, waiting to feel her head on his chest listening to the sound of his heart, all bundled up inside his strong arms. Radiating warmth, radiating love. Once she got closer, he snapped out of those thoughts and put out his arms to stop her..
"Arey, kya hua Paro? Tu teek hai?"
Paro panting, trying to catch her breath. She ran like her life depended on it, she couldn't help it, the thoughts of him in danger were haunting her, eating her mind up. He saw as she was trying to recollect herself..
"You're late... it's raining.. and I.." just before she continued, he completed that sentence for her
"You thought something terrible would happen to me, ey?" Rudra responded jokingly. Giving her that over confident vibe. Deep down, he appreciated the love. But tonight, he wanted to push her buttons, lighten up the mood. After all, it was a long day and he missed her oh so much.
Paro looked as if she was being mocked at, he could see her features changing. She looked at him with those big brown hazel eyes narrowing at him and her lips pouting. Just the reaction he intended. Before she could comment at his arrogance, she was swamped into his arms, and hugged like he was never letting her go.
"Stop pouting," He said calmly "If you don't, you know what I'll have to do to turn that frown.. upside down" in his husky seductive tone. Immediately she gasped, she knew what was coming. Trying to gather herself out of his embrace, she felt his arms loosen, letting her out. Surprised, wasn't he just aroused a few seconds ago, she thought. She knew she felt him pushing himself forward against her body, inching himself as close as he could get as he warned her of what was yet to come. Something is definitely up. Adorable! Absolutely adorable, Rudra contemplated whilst looking at her trying to figure out his next move.
Suddenly he said, using that same husky tone.. "Run, run while you can."
