Paro has given us quite a few surprises and has broken many stereotypical moulds of how a TV bahu needs to act especially when it comes to love and intimacy. She really is the one who took initiative in this relationship time and again.

Even the strides Rudra is making today in improving his relations with Mythali and Mala is based on the work Paro has put in so far, for which she took quite a bit of flak. She asked Rudra to apologize to Mythali when he yelled at her for throwing Mirchi at Paro. Paro steadily developed her and Rudra's relation with her jeeja. She urged Rudra to look at the other side of the coin when it comes to Mala and to maintain basic respect as an elderly woman in the family.

She is not flawless, but once she learns of her mistakes, she is a quick learner. We saw this in the case of Tejawat and Laila. What a growth from a shy, reticient girl to the strong and determined Paro today.

My biggest issue with the writers is not paying attention to Paro's feelings, thoughts, pain and loss. Throughout the show writers glossed over the private pain and trauma which Paro went through. She is an optimist no doubt and looks forward in life but she had her share of heartbreaks but CVs never dwell on her grief, or how this pain changed her. Being an orphan her need to belong, have a home, have a family could have been developed further to give us a better understanding of her. There was just one scene in the beginning in Shiv temple where she expressed her deepest, heartfelt need to belong to someone and be loved unconditionally. This further explains her need to keep Ranawat's family together, help Rudra to get a chance to renew his relations with his parents, as she can never get a second chance with her parents. If the story telling was more balanced between Rudra and Paro's POV, it would have made for a even more poignant tale.

Despite this Paro will be a important milestone in Sanaya's career and she has done a brilliant job with it and has many times risen above the script to give Paro depth and soul.

Thanks for this lovely post/thread on Paro.

@showviewer- exactly how I feel. I'm glad she's not your stereotypical bahu but at the same time she is. She believes in god and family so much that she's able to do anything for them. But she doesn't take anyone's bs easily either. And my problem is we have this beautiful character that can be even better with the right development but we're only given a little. Bit of surface for Paro. I want the writers and creative to show her pain over the loss of her parents, but whenever they do it, it's through Rudra. She gave him the gudiya because she could relate to him somehow but it was still through Rudra that whole back story happened. I want something that only Paro is going through to see how she handles it. I want more depth for her because if the writers keep writing whatever they're writing for Paro then with the right plot, she can do amazing things.

Bold- Exactly my gripe with the CVs. It is like Paro exists for them only in relation to Rudra, she is not an individual in her own right with her own ups and downs in life which shaped her and molded her personality. An insight into her thoughts, feelings, desires and emotions would have been wonderful. The solace is they have given her, calm, growth, lots of common sense.

What is done is done, now it maybe late to rectify the lopsided storytelling and scripting. But they do have a talented actress who can do wonders if given a good script for Paro.

@showviewer - I KNOWW!! I hated it when Paro was saying that she sort of understands what he's going through because her parents left her (so to speak) as well but he told her that they didn't leave her on purpose. Hello Rudra theyre dead, she can never be mad at them like you can, she can't see them be with them, like you can. He just invalidated her pain and that's what I hate about Rudras character, its all about him. His pain, his gain, his feelings.
