Shona, i always love your posts. You and .i are on exactly the sane page wrt
Paro...only you write bout her so much better!m😆

Portia said to shylock... The quality of mercy is not strange... It falleth like the gentle rain from heaven pon the place beneath. It is twice blessed... It blesses him that gives and him that takes.

Paro wants Rudra to forgive his parents, to arrive at that place emotionally, spiritually, mentally for his sake and his sake alone. Forgiveness blesses him that gives. She is not asking for all the cliched, defunct reasons of they bring his parents and loving him but messing up. She wants him yo realize this...

That they gave birth to him yes. They loved him yes. They abused him, abandoned him, yes. But it had nothing to do with him. He was not thrown aside because of any lack in him, but because if their failing. He was not responsible for his mother running away or his fathers dependency on him. He owes them nothing. But he can show clemency... Because that is the greatness in Rudra. He showed her clemency once. And it saved her life. Gave her hope, an identity.
And he need not, not ever again feel the pain of abandonment and betrayal, once he absolves himself of that feeling that somewhere, he failed as a child. They failed as parents. But he is bigger than that. And in their old age, he will care for them. Because he has it in him. He can love, and be loved. He must just allow himself.

Thats what Paro wants. And in her perhaps flawed, perhaps naive way, she is doing her damndest to make him see that.

To all the Paro bashers I say, try that yourself and see! 😆

you have described it beautifully ... yes, Rudra has in him, he is capable of loving, hadnt he fallen for one beautiful girl even after chanting every second of his life that he hates beautiful women?...yes he had and Paro knows that...and she is just asking him to do the same...she is asking him to be great, a better person than his parents and forgive them for whatever they have done to their only child..

And what to say about bashers?? 😆
I have read somewhere that, one day if Paro takes a bullet aimed at Rudra, she will be still blamed for doing that.😆 so you see, cant help there😉
