He is an elderly man , not connected with the tv industry ...he is not responsible for trp's etc ...probably read something on facebook and reacted like a protective father ...

Whatever grievences we have with the show / CV's etc CANNOT be directed at him. He is not part of the team ...

I don't think he is responding to grievances directed at him. Seems more like he is just reacting to reading random discussions online that weren't sent to him or his son (like you pointed out). Or maybe his son told him about some discussions online and so as a father his first instinct was to send out a (rather meanly toned) message to fans.

Nevertheless, I don't like the tone of his post. I would take him a lot more seriously if he had sent the message out to fans in a much more positive manner...he doesn't like negative criticism...and yet his own message is toned negatively...two wrongs don't make a right.

Honestly I didn't find it mean or talkng down to fans as you felt 😊 To me it was ...let the CV's do their job and everyone enjoy the show at 9.30 pm ...I had no probelm with the tone.
