Remember RR was initially based on Othello...Paro's confession and undivided attention made Rudra extremely comfortable...he never felt the need to explore his feelings for her...but her attempt to walk out on him under any circumstances or reasons will stir the fear of losing her...her worth and importance in his life. This incident will push him over the edge and this is where the Othello track starts...Othello loved his wife but simultaneously never trusted her fully...he was obsessively possessive of her...her every action...her attention...her love.

Paro walking out will turn Rudra exactly that...an obsessive and possessive husband.

Othello is a beautiful story and I am hoping against all hopes that it will go that way. The ending doesn't have to be tragic but the emotions would be wonderful to watch.

No, they said that Rudra's character has shades or intensity is of Othelllo not the story!!

Maybe they will incorporate those shades in Rudra...I think it would make sense.

Although, I can see what you mean as well!! So far Rudra has been very secure with Paro's love for him!! But now her talking about leaving him or does leave him , will make him feel insecure that she might leave anytime unless he keeps an eye on her every minute for reassurances!! :)

I agree with shreya, it was the character of rudra which had some shade of othello. waise bhi don't you think the story of othello is too dark. many of us don't want rr to be dark or depressing. of course some angst is fine but following a story like othello just does not appeal to me. I like the shiv-paro one better but with more subtlety.
