Ah Vicky, such a lovely ,heartfelt post. And the best part, so beautifully yet brutally honest.
Without the eng subs up,it's very hard for me to understand and appreciate the intricacies of the Parud scenes today. But after devouring all available opinions so far,and taking a first look at the scenes , it's easy to understand the excitement and admiration for the show today. I think when it comes down to it, what moves us the most in any situation is the honesty of it all. When we can see and feel the raw emotions of someone's truth, their fears and insecurities all laid bare for us to experience ,it somehow touches us in a real and unexpected way. I think that's why we're usually drawn to the reality of people's lives rather than the superficialities. Because somewhere deep down inside of us, we can identify with the truth of someone's existence,as it can usually mirror a similar truth in our own life. Yet we say things we don't mean, and mean things we don't say ( a la Rudra!) because we're so afraid of being vulnerable, of being hurt. We're afraid that if others see and know who we really are they won't accept us,won't love us with all our faults and flaws. So we continue the "hide and pretend ", everythings ok game, never showing our true selves, ever afraid of exposing who we really are to others. We don't trust the truth of ourselves, in the hands of others.Rudra is slowly but surely placing that cold ,hard ,gut wrenching truth of his life in Paro's hands today. He has to believe,as do we, he's in good hands! As for the impending separation ,I'm thinking it may be very different to what many suspect will happen. It may all be tied in to Mala's reason for leaving her family. I sincerely hope she didn't just leave her son for a man. You can leave a man for your child(ren) but not your child(ren) for a man??!! The reverse also applies. Maybe she too, like Paro, made a deal with the powers above , and so may play a pivotal role in convincing Paro otherwise. Lets see how this all plays out, really hope we don't have to endure the run of the mill separation / sacrifice story. Fingers crossed! Thanks again.
Lee!!! U came!! U commented!! That too my fav thread on the forum!! Today is a happy happy day :):):)
What a wonderful post and beautiful episode...
First and foremost I was elated to know that I was right all along about Teju and his fake love of Mala. I had always believed Thakur used Mala to put up a clean face with the Birpur waasis. (I remember mentioning this on Diya' early posts) Mala represented a good side of a very evil man. And now that he was exposed he did not need her representation anymore.
Now her reasons for coming to him after leaving home are still not clear so will give her the benefit of the doubt. For me Rudra's memories of his mother are filled with love and fondness and therefore will not taint them.
Absolutely loved that today's episode took off from where it left on Monday, where Rudra walked back and forth during the sari-fold. Today he stepped back only to wait for Paro's return to him. And the washing of the blue color (poisons from his past) only gave way to the moon working as the perfect mirror to reveal his inner most soul. Whilst his real moon stood by him...the man reflected on some special moments he shared with his mother. When he placed his head on her lap and cried silent tears...he found closure to his pain, whilst sensing inner peace and contentment. The first time he did that was when he was in a drunken state after seeing his mother's picture on the wall laughed back at him...and today that little boy sought the same solace in His Paro.
RR is high on symbolism...
"As a mirror that reflects the light of the sun, the moon represents the shadow side of the sun's (Rudra's) light. The moon reflects the mystery and fear within our souls."
And a full Moon represents "The start of a new beginning. A full moon is a sign of power and clarity of one's mind. It symbolizes an end of an event in some one's life and the cycle to begin a new chapter."
P.S. - Until Monday I was harping on Sumer-Laila pairing, but changed my mind. Teju and Laila would be Shaitaano ne Bana di Jodi!😉
Beautiful post. Your writings made me to watch today's episode again😃
