It's the weekend and I'm basically a bit a tired of Laila drama and now craving to see Rudra back in proper action doing dhishum dhishum lol so writing a FF on Rudra getting his hands again on Tejawat. This is my version of closure from Tejawat track. Most of thestory here is similar to on the show, just moved a week or two ahead from where story is in the show currently and there is only one new character here (Janvi).
Part 1:
Rudra was opening and closing his right fist, pain soured through from the tips of his fingers up to around his elbow, but not as much as it used to. Movement was coming back to his hand and it couldn't have come at a better time, he could feel the BSD getting closer to Tejawat, there were leads here and there but substantial clue of his location yet to come. Only he knew how badly he needed his right hand when he confronted Tejawat and finally pull the trigger of his gun to put a bullet through Tejawat's head.
The tinkling of bangles made Rudra look up. His heart skipped a beat as it often did at the sight of her these day. Paro walked through the doors of his cabin as though it were normal for all BSD officer's wives to do so everyday. Rudra got up immediately.
"Tu yahaan? Sab teekh hai?" (What are you doing here? Is everything ok?) Concern echoing in his voice and features. Paro was a magnet to trouble and injuries, she looked so fragile, he always assumed she'd landed herself in a problem when she came up to him like this unexpected,
"Woh...aap jaldi mein chale aye, lep nahi lagvaya toh mein..." (You left in a hurry this morning, you forgot to apply herbal paste on your hand) She nervously replied pulling out the small bowl in which she bought some lep, "agar aap waqt se nahi lagwayenge toh haath kaise teekh hoga?" (If you don't apply it regularly how will your hand get better?)
Rudra still couldn't come to terms with how much she loved and cared for him. He himself was so used to neglecting his health and wellbeing but she always put him first and admitting it only to himself he loved being dotted on, this feeling had evaded him for 15 years.
"Table pe rakh de mein laga lunga" (put it on the table, I'll apply it later) Rudra replied, he was touched that she had taken the trouble to come all the way here just for this.
"Nahin lagayenge, agar lagwana hi hota toh ghar pe lagwa lete," (no you want, if you wanted to you would have had it applied this morning at home) Paro replied, "humme hi laga na padhega hamesha ki tarah" (I'll have to apply it, as always) she took Rudra's hand in her own and started rubbing lep on it. To her surprise Rudra didn't object to this, instead he sat down quietly and let her continue rubbing the lep, enjoying the tenderness with which she massaged.
"Shukriya Paro...uh kaapna (trembling) kam hai pehle se," (thank you Paro, uh it is trembling less than before) Rudra said awkwardly. He wasn't good at showing appreciation but Paro deserved to know how much it meant to him for her to do all this. Paro smiled broadly, she could feel how frustrating it was for Rudra not to have full function of his right hand.
"Bholenath ne chaha toh jald hi bilkul teekh hojaye ga," (by the grace of Bholenath, it will recover fully very soon) Paro said radiating hope. It was hard for Rudra to remain emotionless as he used to, with Paro around, she was always so positive. The herbal paste left a tingling feeling in his hand, he reflexively tried retracting his hand but she clung on.
The door to Rudra's cabin opened as a figure stumbled in, swaying and almost colliding with the side of the door. It was a woman in torn black t-shirt and khakhi pants. Her mane of black hair fell half way down her back, she looked up. Paro gasped in shock, there were bruises and cuts on this girl's face. Paro leapt forward to steady this girl, Rudra at her heels. Together they set this girl on a chair, she was panting, evidently she had ran a great distance to get here.
"Janvi," Rudra addressed her, taken aback to see her. Paro noticed concern on his face.
"Ranawat...Tej...Tejawat...Sarangpur...mein hai" (Ranawat...Tej...Tejawat is in Sarangpur) she continued to pant, clutching her chest with one hand and her side with the other. She seemed to have multiple stitches from her long sprint.
"Baisa...gehri saansein lejiye, takleef kam hogi," (take deep breaths, it will be ease your discomfort) Paro advised. For the first time Janvi's attention was on Paro, she immediately recognised her to be the girl from the newspaper article on Rudra and BSD.
"Aman! Aman!" Rudra called over his shoulder. Amandeep appeared in the cabin moments later.
"VK Singh Sir ko phone kar ke bolo Janvi yahan-" (Phone VK Singh Sir and tell him Janvi is here-) Rudra began to instruct Aman but was cut off by Janvi.
"Nahin!" Janvi said fiercely, "agar unko inform karna hota toh mein hi kar deti...I'm here to give you information" (No! If I wanted to inform I would have done it myself...I'm here to give you information) she said, her breathing was becoming more even now. Paro noticed blood was trickling down Janvi's face from a wound on her forehead, she went to find a first aid box.
"Unhe lagta hai tu Manali mein hai par tu yahaan hai iss halat mein!" (He thinks you're in Manali but you're here in this state!) Rudra argued.
"Ranawat! Iss waqt sabse important hai Tejawat...uske baare mein puri information hai mere paas" (Ranawat! Right now Tejawat is important...I have information on him) Janvi said desperately trying to draw Rudra's attention to what she thought should be their priority.
"Teekh hai...par usse pehle bandages laga lo" (ok fine...but first get your wounds bandaged) Rudra said, he was still going to inform VK Singh and Janvi didn't need to know that, "Paro" Rudra's eyes searched for Paro. She was by his side with the first aid box, the next moment. Rudra left the room, Aman followed him.
"It's ok, mein kar lungi," (it's ok, I'll do it myself) Janvi said getting off the chair as Paro approached to clean her cuts. It reminded Paro of Rudra who never wanted to show signs of weakness, wanted to do everything himself. As Janvi got up her head began spinning, she could feel the consciousness she had tried so hard to hold onto for this long slip and darkness clouded her vision.
"Major Saab!" Paro shouted as she caught a falling Janvi and set her on the chair again. Rudra and Aman came running back in the room.
"Kya hua?!" (What happened?) Rudra asked, the panic in Paro's voice was reflected on his face.
"Sir humme inko hospital le jana chahiye" (Sir we should take her to hospital) Aman suggested.
"Nahin...Paro jab hospital mein thi Tejawat ke aadmi uss tak ponch gaye theh...mujhe hospital ki security par bharosa nahi...apne bharose ke doctor ko bulao yahan," (no...when Paro was in hospital Tejawat's men were able to reach her, I don't trust hospital security anymore...call a trusted doctor here) Rudra instructed.
He along with Paro dragged Janvi into the BSD rooms outside and laid her on the bed. Rudra checked Janvi's pulse, to his relief it was steady. Paro dampened a clean cloth in water and wiped the bloodstains and dirt from Janvi's face.
Rudra pulled out his phone and called VK Singh.
"Sir, Janvi Chandangadh mein hai, Tejawat ke bare mein khabar layi hai...abhi behosh hai, doctor ko bulaya hai...iski safety le liye mein isse hospital nahin le jaunga, yahan BSD mein woh sabse safe rahe gi" (Sir, Janvi is in Chandangadh, she has information on Tejawat...she's currently unconscious, we have called a doctor...keeping her safety in mind I've decided to call the doctor here instead of taking her to the hospital) Rudra informed his senior officer, imagining VK's face grow worried, shocked and grave with every word Rudra said.
After a short conversation Rudra disconnected the phone. He turned back to Paro who had cleaned up Janvi's face and was now attending to the cut on Janvi's arm.
"Ye Janvi hai...VK Singh Sir ki beti" (this is Janvi, VK Singh's daughter) Rudra told Paro sitting on the other side of Janvi's bed. Paro's jaw dropped, as Rudra continued.
"Isne zid karke BSD join karne ki training li...mere batch mein thi, tabse janta hoon isko. Training ke baad bhi kisi ne iski kabilyat pe bharosa nahi kiya aur isko BSD join nahi karne diya...ab ye yahan se dur hi rehti hai..." (She insisted on joining BSD training, she was in my batch and I know her since. Even after training no one took Janvi's ability seriously so didn't allow her to join BSD...she stays away from here now) Rudra debriefed Paro. There was a knock on the door as the doctor arrived.
Rudra's mind was now wondering on the news Janvi had bought; Tejawat being in Sarangpur. Sarangpur was a village the size of Birpur and like Birpur it was close to the desert. Rudra had to get to him before he moved again. He looked down at his right hand, he needed to be able to shoot again accurately with this hand desperately. Soft, warm fingers wrapped them self around his right fist, he looked into Paro's hazel eyes. The faith, belief and trust he saw there was all he needed to see for now.

Paro lined Rudra's alcohol bottles on the wall, Rudra watched puzzled.
"Apki sharab ki batliyan ab issi kam ki hai," (your alcohol bottles are now only useful for this)Paro explained. She pulled out Rudra's gun and placed it into his right hand that trembled ever so slightly. Rudra realised she was helping him practice to shoot.
