Sus Hermosos Ojos!

He had read this headline in one article, a Spanish man beautifully reciting a poem on his late wife's soulful eyes, claiming that his wife had the most beautiful eyes in the world. According to that man. Rudra berated, ready to prove him wrong, as if the man was standing in front of him.

Had he ever seen his Paro's eyes, to assert that?

Rudra again castigated!

Had he ever seen the eyes that held the power to shush a crying little boy? A boy, who had lost everything. A boy, whose world had came to a devastating cease. A boy who was lost...lost in his own agony, his own pain... till, like a fluttering colorful butterfly, those beautiful eyes had smiled at him, trying a futile attempt to stop him right there, to not fall in the pit he was trying to shove himself in.

Had he ever seen that eyes, which had cried for help, the fear so palpable, so much so that the Jallad himself had dropped her safe to her sanctuary? And when the hazel, that had lifted at him, full of gratitude? The same Jallad found himself accepting that gratitude.

Had he ever seen the eyes that had cried in sheer pain? A pain so apparent that for a moment Major Rudra Pratab Ranwat was forced to think...was he wrong somewhere? Had he punished an innocent?

Had he ever seen that eyes that fought the Jallad, like a stubborn little lioness? The eyes that, not for a moment, detoured away from her belief, a belief she was being fed from her childhood.

Had he ever seen that eyes that had cried to save him from the bullet? That too when they where nothing but enemy?

Had he ever seen the eyes that had accepted defeat? Like a true warrior!

Had he seen the eyes that had stood sanguine? Even when everyone had hurled false accusation at her.

Had he seen the eyes that had reflected his pain, trying to suck every drop of his agony?

Had he ever seen the eyes that had assured him, took him in the cocoon of her warm embrace, trying to sooth his every pain?

Had he ever seen the eyes that stood against him, a Jallad, seeking for forgiveness, not detouring from her ground?

Had he ever seen those eyes, which had gleamed with pure love and joy at finding her soulmate?

Had he seen those eyes which were pleading him to not make a mistake he would regret later? Still asking him selflessly to not take the step he don't want to take.

Had he seen those eyes that had fought with everyone to bring her husband's honor back to him?

Had he ever seen those eyes which, still in inebriated state, had acted more aligned than him?

Had he ever seen those eyes that had reflected pure heartache seeing him losing his life?

Had he ever seen those eyes that had tried to make him laugh, not caring whether in return she will get what she was trying to give him?

Had he ever seen those eyes that had danced with pure joy at the mere smile of him?

No! He hadn't!

Rudra looked at the angel in his arms. The same eyes which held the power to turn his life topsy - turvy, was now closed, denying him to drown in those beautiful orbs.

Rudra tightened his hold on her, pulling her more in his arms.

"M..a...jor...Major Saab...?" Paro murmured in her sleep. The same sleep that had eluded her husband.

"Shhhu...I am here...I am here...I am not leaving..." Rudra whispered in her hair.

Paro instantly relaxed in his comforting warm arms.

"Don't leave me..." Paro again purred, half asleep.

"I will not...don't be afraid...I am there with you...Don't be afraid of darkness, Paro.." his warm words tried to sooth her.

Rudra sensed her smile against his chest.

"Darkness is not what I am afraid of, Major Saab...The only thought that frightens me is, your hands not around me, to hold me..." she hugged him more close to her

A painful lump rouse in his throat.

"The only time my arms will not be around you to hold you, will be when I have no breath left in my body..." Major Rudra Pratab Ranawat promised, securing his treassure in his arms.

Awww... so sweet Parud moment, just when i am enjoying the "farq padta hai kyun ki" rajastani version that came out so fast today... 😳

My fav line was this : Had he ever seen the eyes that had accepted defeat? Like a true warrior!
Pata nahin kyun, that line struck me. Glad to know Paro made Rudra proud.
