As his anger made him to leave breakfast unfinished.. being the caring wife. she wanted him to have his tea.. and being the sweetheart she is she teased him.. made him smile and lighten his mood and got him to have his tea..
And then perched on her new favourite spot in the room, the table she has found she was preparing arati for him.. to ensure that the god's blessed him..
She jumps in front of him when he is about to leave.. her admiring eyes taking in his fill..
And being the devoted girl she is, with bright eyes and glowing in happiness she says 'after so many days you are going in the full uniform' and asks permission to perform her religious rituals.. And when he says no, she stops him.. with scared eyes shushing him, not to say no to gods blessings..
And she proceeds to keep a laal teeka on his head..with Bolenath's blessings.. and as he tries to raise his right arm to keep on his head to accept the blessings he cannot..
and her lovely eyes fill with pain for him as he looks down ashamed of his inability.. and she as always never allowing him to feel anything lacking about himself goes to support him..
She lovingly holds his hand and takes it to his head and with her face full of love, sweet sadness and caring she keeps the teeka on his head.. her eyes never moving away from his face as she does it.
And she says softly 'Major Rudra Prathap Ranawat may at ever point in your life you attain honour, and keep my head raised up in pride'
And he overwhelmed by what she had done, entangles his fingers through hers.. and she.. being who she is knows exactly how much it cost him...and how vulnerable it must make him feel..
and so she teases him out of it.. to make it seem trivial.. making it easy for him to not be so vulnerable...and she happily does it.. with the teasing quip of not to be angry with her..
When he would feel inadequate, she makes him feel the best thing in the world..
and that.. is love...
