http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4010847 Thank you all!
Intorducing Captain Arnav Singania.. I'm missing the man so..
Pakoras
"Aman dude you are such a bleeping bleep. You
know how much I hate BSD food. Can't you share? Those pakoras look so good."
"Aman if you don't share, I will tell Ami about that BSD nurse you were eyeing last week you know, the .. ahem voluptuous one" Arnav threatened.
"Which one?" asked Aman nonchalantly "I think there were 3 that were pretty"
Arnav whined until Aman offered him the smallest pakora possible.
"Aman these are out of this world. What else does she make this well?" Arnav asked, his stomach grumbling reaching for more
Aman moved the dabba out of Arnav' reach. "Ha what doesn't my bhabi make well?" Aman replied with all the pride of a little boy describing his mother. "Her Dal Palak is ah-may-zing and you should taste her Roghan Josh. You will think you died & went to heaven and gajjar ka halwa... and paneer mirchi pakoras and .."
Arnav's stomach let out a loud rumble "Stop please! Man its not fair! He is so lucky. I could eat these pakoras every day of my life- so light & crispy so.."
Major Ranawat stood staring at two of his best captains in disgust. Hardened BSD men discussing pakoras like grandmas. In a minute they would start exchanging recipes. Idiots!
"Doesn't seem like your lucky day boys. In my office now" he said striding away
"AmanDeep, does the BSD pay you to discuss the merits of your mom's pakoras? I
understand you are home sick and all that but you both were behaving like a
bunch of school kids. And you Arnav Singhania ..a ParaCom Captain fighting
over pakoras! Behave like Army men guys. Next time it'll be 20 extra laps in
combat gear. You may go now."
"Sir These are not my mom's, Bha.."
"I don't care whose they are Aman. Don't you have work?" Rudra
interrupted
"Sir please thank Bhabi for the pakoras & return this dabba. They are worth more
than 20 laps Sir" Aman who knew his Major's gruff exterior was just a facade
Rudra glared at Aman "Kaun Bhabi ? Kaise dabba? Aman I think you are confused.."
"Nahi sir, Parvati Bhabi sent the pakoras"
"and they are so good..." said Arnav drooling again. "Why couldn't she have been my witness? I would have treated her much better" he sulked like a 3year old.
"Captain.Arnav.Singhania, you better watch what you say about my wife" growled Rudra
Aman looked at Arnav as if to say " Don't even go there, he will tear you apart"
"Paro sent the pakoras ? I didn't bring it"
"No Sir.. she sent it with Danveer Saab Sir, Bhabi knows you don't favor all this Sir"
"And yet, it doesn't stop her does it? I don't like this one bit Aman! Sending pakoras behind my back" Rudra had quite forgotten that he was doing exactly what he had been berating his junior
officers for - discussing pakoras
"Sir woh .. please don't yell at Bhabi"
"I didn't know you were into marriage counseling. Side business Aman?" smirked Rudra. "You are telling your Senior officer how to behave with his wife?" Rudra asked sending Aman into a panic mode.
"Sir nahi Sir..woh..Bhabi"
"It's ok Aman, I'll tell your bhabi to send it with me next time. Don't trouble Kakusa I mean Danveer Saab"
"A dabba for me too Sir?" Arnav piped, the taste of the pakoras overpowering the fear of his boss.
"Sure Arnav.. with laxative chutney. Maybe that will cure your impertinence. Dismissed"
As Aman and Aranav walked out they could hear the Major gruffly demanding on the phone
"Paro why didn't you send me pakoras? Next time, think about your Pati too not just your Bhai."
Oh!.. Achha teek ..nahi nahi Pari I am not upset with you. Did you eat lunch? I'll see you soon. By the way, you now have another puppy panting after your food" before hanging up
with a proud smile.
