welcome back...missed ur posts...wonderful episode it was...paro made us all fall for her all over again...her simple and beautiful explanation to the SW...they could just see everything in her eyes..that she meant every word she said...they are confirmed that she is in no way forced into this marriage...rudra is sometimes hard to understand..there was huge expectation frm us on the ending shot on thursday...that rudra indeed caught paro's pain...what will be his reaction ...but that was totally missed...what exactly were his thoughts exactly on those moments..,is he shocked to see paro's smile for the rasam..did we misinterpret his expression for care...wen he is pissed...he sure blows up isn't he?...no more pretense...he just spews poison on her...even though paro was hurt...she quickly recollects and tried to explain the SW👍🏼...and rudra can only stand there dumbstruck and managed to say a mesmerized 'yes'...did he really meant that? or did he said that for his job?...ttheir awkwardness afterwards was cute...and is still continued till the ending scene...the way he refused her is not his usual way...i thnk he guessed kakisa's involvement without paro explaining it...really anticipating how its going to play out...he s applying ointment...will he recall that paro was indeed in pain during the rasam

Love reading your detailed take, beautiful analysis as usual. I'm loving this Paro for her confidence and honesty. I liked the way she said she knows what she wants and is happy with what she got. Sanaya conveyed all the right emotions perfectly.
I found Rudra quite confused, yeah, i guess he should be confused for all that was happening around after his outburst, but i liked his subtle 'yes' , Ashish was good there.

Missed you, TVbug. Tumhari raah dekhte dekhte more nain thak gaye...😆

Post padke commentoongi.

Lo mein aa gayi. Apparently Paro takes hold of Rudra's hand while clearing SWs' doubts. Saw a post on it & realised that I had missed that gesture. I wish the camera had focused on it. We are seeing a role reversal here, I guess. Paro is becoming Rudra's protector.

I found the last scene very interesting. Mythili was helping her sort out clothes for the Jaipur trip. Aman had already informed his bhabhi of the treat in store for her. There was no way Rudra could hide the invitation from Paro. And the hope and excitement in her eyes almost floored him.

When he mumbles that taking her will give rise to questions & create problems for him, the hope dies. Without missing the cue she murmurs that she didn't want to go and was wondering how to inform him.

He clenches his fists. Is he feeling bad for disappointing her? Or is he mad that she doesn't want to join him in Jaipur? I hope they focus on that on Monday.

You are right. Ashish's acting is so subtle that it is easy to miss certain gestures and fleeting expressions.

The Rudra outburst at the beginning was so him. Frustrated (in every way😉) to the point of tearing his hair out, helpless, his fate and career at the mercy of the SWs, having Paro caress his hands during the choodi drama and then seeing her take the bangles off--Rudra lost it. And I loved it.😉

Loved his "Haan" too. That moment of realisation was epic.

Once he realises that Kaki loves burning Paro, he is going to whisk her away to Jaipur with him. Hope Rudra takes her around the city, takes her to a movie (The look on her face when she said hamare Birpur mein woh phillum dikhayi gayi thi about KKHH was that of a small child given a toffee), buys her sarees or lehengas and some street food, escorts her to a mela etc etc. The sleeping arrangements will be exciting. I hope.😉

BTW I wish we could have seen the morning after of Rudra-Paro's SW-induced bed-sharing.😆

Really well written😳👏
I was kind of confused with Rudra's behaviour and his outburst in the face of all that's been happening..but reading MKMs explanation and now yours has brought more clarity!

Paro turning her back on him riled him above his threshold of caring and he just reacted!

Loved Paros dignified defense of him...it was all from the heart and all true! And your words paint such a beautiful picture of that scene😳

I think Rudra was dazed listening to Paro and his ' Haan' was more of a question than an answer but it worked for the situation!

The tension and awkwardness after this entire scene was amazingly done...both not knowing what to do...and then the ball...Paro was sceptical that he would take her and Rudra confirmed this...I think he does not want to act anymore like a good husband or let's say loving husband!

But I think kakisas plan will backfire on her and bring these two closer and that will also be why he will take her to Jaipur...looking forward to next week!

Always lovely reading your takes...you write so well😳

Rudra and Paro now, conversely, swirling neck-deep in currents so strong yet so uncertain that to turn was to risk losing their footing, to lock eyes risk going under, and to talk a risk so great that it was unthinkable. Yet to leave unsaid, to not connect, to not gaze upon the other was unbearable. And so they stood frozen unable to hold on beyond a perfunctorily murmured excuse to leave, yet unable to tear themselves away. There was so much that needed to be said and so much that needed to be heard. His apology, his gratitude, his praise, his admiration, even his love. Her forgiveness, her reassurance, her acceptance, her certainty, her love. And the questions that teeteered on the tips of their tongues, and the answers that they bit back because uttering either opened up a brand new landscape that neither dared envision leave alone venture into.
And so they hesitated cravenly, until the moment passed, and their new-born hopes were stifled, set aside for another day.

Hello😊 Newbie here. Just signed up yesterday.

I'm only just wading into the IF waters and I've got to admit it feels a little intimidating, but i'm glad that i did because if i hadn't, i wouldn't have had an opportunity to read such a poetic interpretation of the episode. This is very very beautiful. The part quoted above has to be my favorite. I absolutely love this reading in between the lines interpretation.

I was wondering about the scene where Rudra says "Haan" to the Social Workers. It seemed like he was voicing it more like a question, to himself perhaps? Reading your review i have to say, I'm totally diggin' your insight into his head space. Looking forward to more such delightful pieces.

Signing Off.😳
Hope I'm not too intrusive.

Thank you Jaz. 😊 Glad you liked it. And I agree with you. Ashish's acting is in general brilliant and on Friday night even in a relatively smaller role he left a lasting impression. He was able to invest so much emotion into that one word 'yes' that it was as good as speaking a page of lines. And his look at the end of the SW track as he remained suspended in time, unable to stay and yet unable to leave Paro, will remain with me for all the conflicting emotions that passed over his face. It really is a joy to watch him bring Rudra to life.

Lovely post, and good to see you back, Sabs! Hope things are better at your end.
It was a roller coaster of an episode ... Rudra losing his temper over Paro taking the bangles off, forgetting all about his job, his role play in front of the SWs ... I was confused first as to why he lost his cool ... I thought the end of the scene on Thursday showed that he understood something was wrong ... but apparently not 😕 It was just his anger at Paro's playacting ... and then her taking off the bangles.

Loved Paro yesterday as she explained to the SWs in clear terms about their marriage ... she never told a direct lie, she only spoke the truth, but in such a way that it saved the day for Rudra.
I did not understand why Rudra looked so confused when Paro was talking ... she didn't say anything he didn't know already ... unless he was flabbergasted at her calm way of defending him, after he had just been so cruel and nasty to her, and she had been upset just a few minutes earlier.

Liked the lady playing Damyanti ... she was good ... her no-nonsense calm way of listening to Paro, and of course shutting up Mohini with a warning. I also loved the little admonition she gave Rudra about how his anger can cause relationships to splinter and break, and how hurtful words, once spoken in anger, can never be taken back. Those words should have struck home ... because he had just hurt Paro sharply with his words a few minutes before.

The last scene was for me, the best ... my heart broke for Paro, as she tried her best first not to raise her hopes about the Jaipur trip ... and then to hide her disappointment when Rudra said he would not take her. Both actors were superb there.
